Maruti Suzuki April 2023 Price Hike: Here's Why

Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) announced a price increase for its model lineup, effective April 1, 2023. According to the automaker, the price increase was prompted by rising cost pressures caused by overall inflation and regulatory requirements. The company previously stated that it was considering raising prices to offset the impact of these factors. The leading carmaker also emphasised its commitment to cost-cutting initiatives. However, given the ongoing cost pressures, the company felt compelled to pass some of the costs on to customers in the form of a price increase.
