Skoda Kushaq, Slavia Prices Reduced by up to Rs 70,000 in India, Check New Prices

To rope in more customers ahead of the festive season, Skoda Auto India has announced a substantial price reduction for two of its products with immediate effect – the Kushaq SUV and the Slavia sedan. The Skoda Kushaq has seen a price cut of Rs 70,000, and the SUV now retails at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas, the Slavia sedan has seen a reduction in price by Rs 50,000, and the new revised price is marked at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, both prices will be treated as valid for a limited period. The Slavia was earlier priced at Rs 11.39 lakh, while the Kushaq retailed at Rs 11.59 lakh (both ex-showroom). Other than the substantial price drop, the carmaker has introduced a new Matte edition of the entry-level Slavia sedan, which will also only be available for a limited period. This new variant offers cosmetic updates over the standard Skoda Slavia. The exterior is painted in Carbon Steel colour that has a matte finish. The wing mirrors, door handles, and alloy wheels are finished in gloss black, although the window lining and chrome finish on the grille have remained untouched.

In addition to the new shade, the sedan can also be had in Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Crystal Blue, Lava Blue, and Tornado Red colour options. For those unaware, the Slavia becomes the second model after the Kushaq in the company's lineup to get this new paint job. However, its pricing is yet to be made public.

Skoda Slavia Matte Edition: Powertrain

Underneath the bonnet, the Matte Edition continues to come with a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine as well as a 1.5-litre, inline-four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol TSI Evo engine with active cylinder technology. The 1.0-litre mill is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox as well as a 6-speed manual unit, while the 1.5-litre motor comes connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with the option of a 6-speed manual gearbox as well. 

Skoda Slavia Matte Edition: Features

Inside, the Matte Edition packs in a 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, powered driver and co-driver seats, an illuminated footwell area, an 8-speaker sound system with a sub-woofer, and more. 

Skoda Kushaq Gets New Features Too

Alongside the Slavia, Skoda Auto has also updated the feature list of the Kushaq SUV in India. Based on the top-spec Style variant, both models are offered across two powertrain options. With the Kushaq SUV, customers now get footwell illumination, as well as powered front seats, both of which also find their way in the Monte Carlo variant of the Kushaq. 

The Kushaq also gets the same engine options as the Slavia: a 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI engine. On offer are a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed DSG transmission. The former cranks out 114bhp and 178Nm of torque, while the latter makes 148bhp and 250Nm.

Skoda Kodiaq SUV Prices Revised

In related news, Skoda recently hiked the prices of its Kodiaq SUV in India by up to Rs 56,000, with immediate effect. The Kodiaq is available in three variants – Style, Sportline, and L&K. The standard variant, Style, now has a starting price of Rs 38.50 lakh after experiencing a price hike of about Rs 51,338. The mid-spec Sportline has witnessed a price increase of Rs 53,230 and is currently priced at Rs 39.92 lakh, and the top-of-the-line L&K variant has seen the maximum price hike of Rs 55,932 and is now available at Rs 41.95 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
