Skoda Kylaq Waiting Period Reaches up to 5 Months in India

The Skoda Kylaq, one of India’s most sought-after midsize SUVs, is currently experiencing a significant surge in demand, pushing its waiting period to as much as five months in certain regions. Launched as part of Skoda’s India 2.0 strategy, the Kylaq has garnered widespread popularity for its attractive styling, solid build quality, and impressive performance. However, this rising interest has outpaced production capacities, leading to extended delivery timelines for eager customers. Those considering the base Classic variant of the Skoda Kylaq could face the steepest delay, with delivery times stretching close to five months in some areas. Meanwhile, the mid-level Signature and Signature+ trims are seeing comparatively moderate wait times, averaging around three months. For buyers opting for the fully loaded Prestige version, the waiting period is notably shorter, with units expected to arrive within approximately two months.

While Skoda continues to ramp up manufacturing to meet demand, the prolonged wait underscores the SUV’s strong market traction and the growing appetite for premium yet practical vehicles in the Indian automotive landscape.

Skoda Kylaq: Looks

Visually, the Kylaq stands out with Skoda’s signature Piano Black butterfly grille, a split headlamp setup featuring sleek LED DRLs above projector LEDs in the bumper, and bold styling elements such as black cladding, roof rails, and 17-inch dual-tone alloys.

At the rear, connected LED taillamps with a black bar bearing the Skoda branding and a faux silver skid plate on the bumper round out the SUV's dynamic look.

Skoda Kylaq: Interior and Features

The Skoda SUV features an elegant black-and-grey dual-tone dashboard that enhances the overall cabin experience. The seats are upholstered in black fabric and come with adjustable headrests. Key interior highlights include a 6-speaker audio system, ventilated front seats with 6-way electric adjustment, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, and a single-pane sunroof.

On the safety front, the Kylaq is equipped with essentials such as six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, traction control, Roll Over Protection, ABS with EBD, three-point seatbelts for all seats, electronic stability control (ESC), a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Electronic Differential Lock, Multi-Collision Braking, Motor Slip Regulation, a rear camera with parking sensors, and the option to deactivate the front passenger airbag.

Skoda Kylaq: Engine Options

The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 114bhp of maximum power and 178Nm of peak torque. Buyers have the choice between a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
