Stellantis-Management-Reshuffle

Stellantis India has announced a significant reshuffle in its leadership structure as it prepares for the arrival of the Chinese electric vehicle brand Leapmotor. The reorganisation is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its operational readiness and market positioning in the fast-evolving Indian automotive landscape. With Leapmotor set to debut under Stellantis’ umbrella later this year, the leadership changes are aimed at streamlining decision-making, enhancing local responsiveness, and accelerating the group’s electrification plans in the region.

New Roles at Stellantis

As part of the leadership restructuring, Kumar Priyesh, Business Head and Director – Automotive Brands at Stellantis India, will now oversee the Retail Business segment. His responsibilities will span Sales and Network Development for Jeep, Citroen, and the upcoming Leapmotor brand. His deep industry expertise is expected to play a key role in ensuring a seamless and enhanced customer journey across Stellantis’ growing brand lineup.

His strategic acumen is set to support Stellantis’ broader mobility vision and strengthen its partner-focused offerings.

Shailesh Hazela will continue in his role as CEO and Managing Director of Stellantis India, guiding the company’s strategic direction to ensure alignment with global goals while staying attuned to local market dynamics.

This leadership revamp reflects Stellantis India’s ongoing focus on innovation, operational excellence, and long-term growth in one of its most important markets.

Leapmotor Set to Enter the Indian Market

Stellantis has revealed plans to introduce Leapmotor’s international electric vehicle (EV) lineup to the Indian market, marking a pivotal development in its regional electrification roadmap. This strategic move aims to tap into India’s rapidly expanding EV landscape by offering a variety of cutting-edge models under the Leapmotor brand.

By combining Leapmotor’s innovation in electric mobility with Stellantis’ established presence in India, the company is positioning itself to deliver a compelling EV portfolio tailored to the needs of modern Indian consumers. The initiative underscores a broader commitment to sustainability, advanced technology, and high performance, catering to the growing demand for clean and efficient transportation solutions in the country.
