Tata Motors sold 37,083 units domestically in June 2025, representing a decline of 15% from 43,524 units sold in June 2024.

Tata Motors' PV sales took a hit in June 2025, with 37,237 units sold overall, showing a 15% drop from 43,624 units sold in June 2024. Domestic sales also fell by the same percentage to 37,083 units. However, electric vehicles saw a boost, with 5,228 units sold, which is a 12% increase over last year’s 4,657 units. Exports also improved, with 154 units shipped last month — a 54% increase over the 100 units exported in the same period last year.
Commenting on the sales, Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, ‘In Q1 FY26, the Passenger Vehicle industry experienced volume pressures, particularly in May and June, with flat growth reflecting continued softness in demand. The Electric Vehicle segment emerged a bright spot, driven by robust growth and the launch of new EV models across OEMs, enhancing customer interest and consideration.’

He also added, ‘Tata Motors reported wholesales of 1,24,809 units in Q1 FY26, including 16,231 EV units, underscoring our commitment to aligning wholesale and registration volumes. EV sales gained strong momentum towards the end of the quarter with a healthy growth trajectory. The refreshed Tiago posted 16% year-on-year volume growth in Q1 FY26 and new launches—Altroz and Harrier.ev— saw a positive market response, with their full impact expected in the coming months. Looking ahead, while overall industry growth is expected to remain subdued, Tata Motors is well positioned to leverage its new launches to outperform across segments—including hatchbacks and SUVs, while continuing to build on the EV momentum.’
In Q1 FY26, Tata Motors sold 1.24 lakh PVs in the domestic market, showing a 10% decline from 1.38 lakh units sold during the same period last year. Overall, 1.25 lakh units were sold, reflecting a % drop of the same percentage. While the EVs saw a marginal decline of 2% in Q1 FY26, with 16,231 units sold, the PV exports showed strong growth, rising by 68% to 970 units.

In the commercial vehicle segment, Tata Motors sold 27,936 units in the domestic market, a 9% year-on-year decline. Overall, 30,238 CVs were sold, a drop of 6%.
