Tata Safari Facelift: Waiting Period

Buyers who intend to reserve a new Safari for this month will have to wait eight to ten weeks for the car's delivery. The said waiting period is currently the same for both manual and automatic versions across the board. This time frame is valid for the Mumbai region, and it might vary based on the dealership, available colour options, variant, location, and other factors.

Tata Safari Facelift: Engine and Transmission

The Tata Safari's 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine is paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. The engine can produce 168bhp of maximum power and 350Nm of peak torque. It also features driving modes and traction. The SUV's claimed fuel efficiency is 14.50km/l with an automatic transmission and 16.30km/l with a manual transmission.

Tata Safari Facelift: Feature List

The Safari and the Harrier have roughly the same interior layouts. Like the latter, it sports a 10.25- or 12.3-inch touchscreen, depending on the trim. First and second-row seats that are ventilated, a new drive selector for automatic versions, a panoramic sunroof, a touch-based HVAC control panel, a 360-degree camera, a rotary drive selector knob with a digital display, rear window shades, dual-zone climate control, and more are among the extra features. Included are a 10-speaker JBL-tuned sound system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Among the standard features of the Safari are electronic stability control, six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, ABS with EBD, three-point seat belts with reminders for every occupant, and hill hold control. The higher-spec vehicles come with an extra driver knee airbag. Additionally, the Adventure+ A, Accomplished+, and Accomplished+ Dark models come equipped with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) as standard equipment.

Tata Safari Facelift: Exterior Design and Rivals

The Safari facelift includes a comprehensive update even though it still has the same general design and size as the previous model. The front sports a redesigned grille, a connected DRL arrangement, vertically oriented LED headlights, a skid plate, and a smaller bumper. The side appearance is unaltered, save for the addition of "Safari" badging on the front doors. The design of the front and rear is similar. The taillights are now connected, and the bumper and boot lid have been updated. The Safari logo on the back is bigger. The SUV's Smart and Pure models have 18-inch alloy wheels, while the Accomplished and Dark models have 19-inch alloy wheels.

In the domestic market, the facelifted Safari competes with the MG Hector Plus, the Scorpio N, the Hyundai Alcazar, and the Mahindra XUV700 seven-seat model.
