Toyota Innova Hycross Waiting Period Extends up to 16 Months in India
Currently, there is a 65-week (around 16 months) waiting period for the hybrid version of the Toyota Innova Hycross. Customers who choose to purchase petrol variants, however, may have to wait up to 26 weeks (around 7 months).

For December 2023, Toyota India has revised the waiting period for every model in its lineup. The Innova Hycross from the automaker continues to command a very long waiting period in India, thanks to its three rows of seating, a plethora of features, and dominating appearance on the road. The technical components of the MPV include a hybrid drivetrain and a potent gasoline engine. The entry-level model costs Rs 18.86 lakh, while the top-of-the-line model is priced at Rs 30.26 lakh. Both figures are ex-showroom. Let's now discuss the specifics of the existing waiting period commanded by the Hycross. Toyota Innova Hycross: Engine Options
The Toyota Innova Hycross comes in five trim levels: G, GX, VX, ZX, and ZX (O). The company's New Global Architecture (TNGA) serves as its foundation. A 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, powerful hybrid fifth-generation TNGA engine, as well as a standard 2.0-litre petrol engine, are housed under the hood. These engines are paired with an electric CVT and a conventional CVT transmission, respectively. The hybrid variant has a fuel efficiency of 21.1km/l, which is likely the best in class. The Innova Hycross also has two electric motors in addition to the engine. The first motor uses electrical power to drive the car forward. Meanwhile, the secondary, or larger, motor supplies power to the primary engine while also charging the battery pack via regenerative braking. The Innova Hycross accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 9.5 seconds.

Now let's talk about the features. The Toyota Innova Hycross has a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, an electric tailgate, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a nine-speaker JBL audio system. Additionally, the MPV's middle row is electrically powered.

The car comes decked in several attractive colour options including Super White, Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, Sparkling Black Pearl Crystal Shine, Avant Garde Bronze Metallic, and Blackish Ageha Glass Flake.
Toyota's Hycross competes with the Kia Carnival and is a slightly less-priced alternative to the Innova Crysta, the Mahindra XUV700, the Hyundai Alcazar, the MG Hector Plus, and the Tata Safari.

Toyota November 2023 Sales
Meanwhile, the manufacturer reported that it delivered 17,818 units in November 2023, a 51 per cent increase over the same period the previous year when it sold 11,765 cars. The company delivered 16,924 units in the local market and 894 units abroad, most of which were Urban Cruiser Hyryders.
The carmaker also provided insight into its overall growth trajectory, revealing that total sales for the Calendar Year (CY) 2023 amounted to 2,10,497 units, a 40 per cent increase over the 1,49,995 vehicles sold over the same period in 2022. In addition, the company inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka government recently to establish the country's third manufacturing unit. Although no official announcement has been made, the new manufacturing plant is expected to be completed by 2026.
