Renault registered wholesale sales of 3,662 units in November, marking a 30.27% increase over last year’s 2,811 units. The recently facelifted Triber and Kiger played a key role in the growth, reflecting their strong and growing market appeal. The all-new Renault Triber posted sales of 2,064 units, marking a notable 38.9% increase over the 1,486 units sold in November 2024. Meanwhile, the updated Renault Kiger sold 1,151 units, a remarkable 47.75% rise from 779 units sold in the previous year. The Renault Kwid also contributed to the overall tally, with 447 units delivered during the month. Renault also attributed the surge in sales to the strong trust and loyalty customers have in the brand.
Renault will re-introduce the long-awaited Duster in India on January 26, 2026. The SUV, based on the CMF-B modular platform, will be positioned above the Kiger in the lineup. It will be produced at the company’s Oragadam plant in Chennai. While the Duster is already available in international markets, the Indian version is expected to feature subtle cosmetic updates and tailored features to suit Indian market preferences.

The global-spec Duster offers an array of powertrain options, including a 128bhp 1.3-litre mild-hybrid, a 138bhp 1.6-litre strong hybrid paired with a 1.2 kWh battery, and a 1-litre petrol-LPG variant. For the Indian market, Renault has not officially confirmed the engine lineup, but several industry speculation hints toward a petrol-only range.
The flagship variant is likely to use a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 151bhp and 250Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the entry-level models could receive a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol or a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Renault is also exploring the possibility of introducing a hybrid variant in the future.
