Yokohama launches new all-terrain tyre range in India

Japanese tyre manufacturer, Yokohama, has launched its new Geolandar A/T G105 tyre range in India.

Available in a total of 18 versions with size range of 15-inch to 18-inch, the new Geolandar A/T G105 range consists of all-terrain tyres, which can be fitted in many compact to full-sized SUVs like Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Jeep Compass, Ford Endeavour, etc.

Going by the nature of all-terrain tyres, the new A/T G105 range has been designed to perform optimally under both on and off-road conditions. Yokohama claims that the new Geolandar A/T tyres can withstand off-road duty with improved noise suppression, wet grip and anti-uneven wear resistance.

These new tyres are designed with rough terrain performance in mind, and thus are constructed from tear-resistant material which features symmetric tread design. According to the company, this allows for easy cross-rotation and improved wear characteristics. Furthermore, to enhance performance on wet and slippery surfaces, the new Geolandars feature deep circumferential grooves.  

On launch of the new tyre range, Sanjay Chatterjee, Chief General Manager Sales and Marketing said, “SUVs in India have been outgrowing passenger cars year after year and the SUV drivers who are looking for tyres with all round performance, balance between recreational and routine driving, Geolandar A/T G015 is the answer. G015 also marks 20th year anniversary of Geolandar All-Terrain Tyres”.
