With its 2.2-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine churning out 197bhp & 440Nm of torque, the Kia Carnival is, as of now, the most powerful MPV in the country.

One of the most highly-anticipated MPVs for the Indian market – the Kia Carnival – has been launched at the 2020 Auto Expo today, with prices starting from ₹24.95 lakh for the entry-level Premium (7-Seater) variant and going all the way up to ₹33.95 lakh for the top-spec Limousine (7-seater) trim (all prices are ex-showroom, India). Bookings for the Carnival opened on 21st January, and Kia claims it has already received 3,500+ pre-launch bookings for the MPV. Interestingly, more than 70 per cent of those are for the range-topping Limousine variant.

In comparison, the Toyota Innova Crysta's ex-showroom prices range from ₹18.22 lakh to ₹23.02 lakh. So, while the Carnival is definitely a notch above the Innova Crysta in terms of price, it is better equipped and offers more practicality in terms of hauling capabilities. Premium (8-seats) ₹25.15 lakh
Prestige (7-seats) ₹28.95 lakh
