Driving for McLaren, Norris converted pole position into a F1 race win despite late pressure from Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. This result ended McLaren’s long wait for a Monaco win, last achieved by Lewis Hamilton in 2008. Charles Leclerc finished second in his home race, trailing Norris by just 0.5 seconds after a tense final stint. Oscar Piastri took third for McLaren, helping the team gain valuable points in the Constructors’ Championship. The gap between Norris and Piastri in the driver standings is now just three points.
