The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup this year is going to be a treat to watch. Why? Because both the Sebastiens - Loeb and Ogier - will be seen going against each other yet again. We've seen them go at each others’ throats competing in the World Rally Championship, but this time when they go to Monaco, they won’t be gunning it on the different stages of the Monte Carlo Rally. They will be heading to the twisty circuit for some wheel-to wheel duels.

So what are they driving? Instead of the Citroen DS3 and the Polo R WRC, both will be strapped inside the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car which is powered by a 3.8-litre six-cylinder Boxer engine that churns out 453 bhp. Ogier will be competing in a car prepared by the Project 1 team. Loeb, on the other hand, will be behind the wheel of a Pop Art Porsche, complete with special livery courtesy Tag Heuer.

Ogier admitted saying that his long-standing rival was more experienced than him when it came to closed circuit racing. But he is making a sure he is ready for the D-Day. He said, “I sat in the Porsche for the first time last week at a test session in Hockenheim. Last year’s winner Sean Edwards gave me a few tips and I was coping really well by the end.”

Loeb has a lot more experience behind the wheel of racing cars. He’s won the Race of Champions thrice, been the WRC champion nine times and has finished second in 2006 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In fact he was to make his F1 debut at the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix but the FIA didn’t grant him a super license.

It sure will be a dramatic and fast paced weekend at the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
