Fast forward to 2024, the&nbsp;TRK 902 Xplorer, Benelli's&nbsp;new concept bike, debuted&nbsp;at the Milan-based trade show. In addition to a larger twin-engine&nbsp;– of course – the&nbsp;902 Xplorer gets a new design marked out by a more compact front end. The front features LED headlamps, integrated fog lamps, an LED daytime running lamp, a&nbsp;unique-looking&nbsp;beak, and an electronically adjustable windscreen.&nbsp;The rear end is quite sleek and raised. Powering the&nbsp;Benelli Leoncino is a&nbsp;500cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that is linked&nbsp;to a six-speed transmission. The power and torque figures stand at&nbsp;46.8bhp&nbsp;at 8,500rpm and 46Nm at 6,000rpm, respectively.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Last year,<a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/harley-davidson-x500-unveiled-in-china-based-on-benelli-leoncino-500-112988/"> the&nbsp;Benelli Leoncino-based cruiser&nbsp;was launched overseas</a>. Named the Harley-Davidson X500, it is the second product of the Harley-Davidson and QJMotor collaboration. To keep development costs low, the cruiser comes&nbsp;powered by a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine rather than&nbsp;a V-Twin engine, which is used in nearly all Harley-Davidson motorcycles.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hardware-wise, the Harley-Davidson X500 features a tubular frame suspended&nbsp;by 50mm upside-down front forks offering 124mm of travel&nbsp;and a mono-shock at the rear offering 112mm of travel. The bike supports preload and rebound adjustments.&nbsp;Braking duties are carried out by a dual front disc with 4-piston callipers&nbsp;and a single rear disc with a single-piston calliper, accompanied by a switchable dual-channel anti-lock braking system.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Benelli 502C,&nbsp;Keeway K300 N: New Prices</h2>

In the Indian market, the 502C rivals the&nbsp;Kawasaki Eliminator (Rs 5.62 lakh), the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 (Rs 3.61 lakh-Rs 3.91 lakh), and others.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As for the K300 N sport naked, there is a&nbsp;292cc, 4-stroke, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine, which&nbsp;puts out 27bhp&nbsp;at 8,750rpm and 25Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm.&nbsp;The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, sending power to the rear wheels. The suspension duties are handled by upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock, while the stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends. <p>The TRK 502 and the TRK 502X adventure tourer motorcycles' prices in India have been recently altered&nbsp;by the Italian bikemaker Benelli. Both motorcycles now cost Rs 25,000 more than they previously did. Following the latest hike, the asking price of the 2023 Benelli TRK 502 now stands at Rs 5.85 lakh, whereas that of the Benelli TRK 502X is Rs 6.35 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, India.&nbsp;It is important to keep in mind that costs have increased by about a lakh on the TRK 502 series since the BS6 updated version of the bike&nbsp;was launched&nbsp;in the Indian market&nbsp;with a price tag&nbsp;of Rs 4.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Nevertheless, costs for motorcycles have increased across the board. For those unaware,&nbsp;the Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) facility is located close to Hyderabad, where the model is locally assembled and sold. <h2>Benelli&nbsp;TRK 502 Range: Design and Colour Options</h2>

<p>At EICMA 2022, Benelli unveiled the TRK 502 touring motorcycle line. The Benelli TRK 502 will now be offered in Grey, White, Black (new), and Forest Green (new), thanks to the introduction of the new colors. Additionally, there will be four other colour options for the Benelli TRK 502X: Grey, White, Yellow, and Forest Green (new).</p>

<p>Design-wise, the 502 series incorporated blacked-out footpegs, brake and clutch levers, and handguards.&nbsp;A large LED headlight, handguards with aluminum inlays, and a central stand have been fitted to both motorcycles. Both the clutch lever and the upgraded handlebar may be adjusted to provide the optimal riding conditions for each rider. Both ADVs have redesigned hand grips, handy aluminum pawls placed beneath the saddle, illuminated handlebar switchgear, rear-view mirrors with updated designs, and more.</p>

<h2>Benelli&nbsp;TRK 502 Range: Mechanical Specs and Hardware</h2>

<p>A 500cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm and 47bhp of maximum power at 8,500rpm is employed by the middleweight adventure tourers. A 6-speed gearbox is mated to the engine.</p>

<p>In terms of hardware, the 502X has adjustable suspension, including front 50mm USDs with a 140mm travel and rear central monoshocks with a 62mm travel.&nbsp;To handle uneven road surfaces, the TRK 502X moreover has an exhaust installed in a higher position than the TRK 502's road-going counterpart.&nbsp;A 260mm diameter disc at the back and a double disc with 2-piston floating callipers at the front of the model provide a strong, controlled, and well-balanced stopping performance. The price is ex-showroom. Although the&nbsp;TNT 25N has now arrived on foreign shores, the roadster has been discontinued from the Indian lineup. Besides, we have no official details with respect to its comeback in the Indian market. The&nbsp;Benelli TNT 25N motorcycle has been upgraded to include a redesigned four-stroke, single-cylinder motor that puts out&nbsp;25bhp of maximum power and 21.2Nm of peak torque. It is inspired by the 320S bike in terms of its styling and is offered in 3 colour options that include Golden Yellow, Power Black, and Strength Red.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>2023 Benelli TNT 25N: Powertrain Details</h2>

<p>In terms of powertrain, the 2023 TNT 25N uses a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with EFI and TLI, which&nbsp;is mated to a 6-speed transmission, enabling the motorcycle to send power to the rear wheels. This engine is capable of producing 25bhp of maximum power at 9,250rpm and 21.2Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.</p>

<h2>2023 Benelli TNT 25N: Styling, Features</h2>

<p>Style-wise,&nbsp;the updated TNT 25N draws inspiration from the Benelli 320S. The exterior consists of a muscular fuel tank, a single-pod headlamp, a body-coloured fender at the front, and a side-slung exhaust. It rides on 17-inch, split-style alloy wheels that come wrapped in tubeless tyres. Besides,&nbsp;the motorcycle receives a padded seat and&nbsp;grab rails.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>2023 Benelli TNT 25N: Suspension, Braking</h2>

<p>The bike's suspension setup comprises telescopic forks at the front offering 120mm of travel and a mono-shock at the rear offering 45mm of travel. For handling braking duties, the&nbsp;Benelli TNT 25N gets petal-shaped disc brakes at both ends -&nbsp;a 260mm front disc and a 240mm rear motor. <p>Internationally, Benelli has been around for more than 100 years – but their survival hasn’t always been easy. That being said, somehow, they always manage to keep coming back.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In India, their story is no different. When they first entered the Indian market, they tasted considerable success and managed to sell around 5,000 motorcycles. It was indeed an impressive feat, given that they didn’t really have very interesting products. It was the beautiful Italian design of their motorcycles that managed to win hearts across the country. However, owing to the fact that their Indian partners ran into legal trouble, Benelli was forced to shut their operations in 2017.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Aware that it needed to continue making progress in India, Benelli soon tied up with another partner, and the Chinese-owned Italian bikemaker is back with plans that are as ambitious as ever.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>The key product</strong><br />
When Benelli first showcased the TRK 502 at the 2015 EICMA show, we were all very impressed with the bike. Once again, it was the big-bike Italian design that grabbed eyeballs. Now, in the last couple of years, the adventure bike space in India has gained some momentum. In fact, a big chunk of premium bikes sold in India are ADVs. Conscious of the growing popularity of the segment, Benelli has chosen the TRK 502 to make their grand re-entry into the market.</p>

<p>Let’s now get to the bike itself. The TRK is a middle segment ADV, but with enormous dimensions. It looks big, I mean really, really big. With a completely new design, a new frame and a brand-new engine, the TRK 502 is the Italian bikemaker’s new hope for the Indian market. The <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/benelli-enters-adv-segment-with-the-launch-of-trk-502-trk-502x-105500/">TRK 502 has been launched in two variants</a> – the first is the base 502 and the other is the off-road centric 502X. Another highlight of the bike – which has, in fact, become a talking point – is its competitive price tag of just `5 lakh! We spent an entire day in the jungles of Karnataka to experience these new machines and see just what they have to offer at such an amazing price.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Italian design</strong><br />
In terms of design, the TRK 502 looks really good. And, like I said before, it looks like a proper big bike. The front section has nice LEDs, and the headlight design, as well as the front beak, looks very similar to the Ducati Multistrada. The fuel tank is a massive 20-litre unit, and the cowlings give the bike a very muscular appearance. It gets wide upside-down forks at the front and a hydraulic mono-shock at the rear. For stopping duties, it has dual 320mm discs on a 17-inch alloy at the front and a single 260mm at the rear, also a 17-inch alloy. At 800mm, the seat height is low. The bike has a ground clearance of 180mm. With great character and pleasing aesthetics, it’ll certainly make its presence felt on the road.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>For everyone</strong><br />
The TRK 502 is by no means a light bike, for it weighs 220 kilogrammes. But that doesn’t mean that it’s difficult to ride. What makes riding this bike easy is its brand new 500cc, in-line, twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that pumps out 47bhp and 46Nm of torque. This is usable power, so you can extract all the juice out of this engine without worrying about your head being ripped off when you dip into the throttle.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The throttle itself is nice and light, and delivers linear acceleration. It will, of course, feel sluggish if you’re used to riding bigger bikes, but if you’re a novice it offers more than enough juice to have some fun with.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of refinement, there’s hardly anything to complain about. The engine feels smooth and composed at all times, even when you rev it hard. The steering is also pretty light, and once you get moving, it’s easily manageable on the road. The suspension setup is a little on the stiff side, but it absorbs almost everything – never allowing you to feel even the slightest bit of discomfort.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Pirelli tyres offer great grip, adding to the overall balance of the bike, which is quite good. Although it’s a fun motorcycle to flick around, it lacks exhilaration in terms of performance. However, a lot of people will really like its exhaust note, which almost makes the bike sound like a triple instead of a twin.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>No road? No problem!</strong><br />
If you’re an avid off-roader, then the bike you should go for is the 502X. This variant has a lot of things that make it more off-road oriented. First, it’s got a much higher ground clearance of 210mm. It also has a raised seat height at 840mm, along with increased suspension travel. Moreover, it also gets a larger 19-inch wheel at the front, and both alloys are replaced by spokes. Add to the list an engine bash plate, knuckle guards, floating callipers and an upswept exhaust. Plus, there are Metzelers that offer better grip in the rough stuff.&nbsp;</p>

<p>All these changes really make the 502X a pretty capable off-road machine that almost anyone will find comfortable to ride. Shorter riders, however, may struggle in tight situations because of the high seat. The gear ratios of the 6-speed transmission are a little tall, which means that you may find yourself downshifting frequently – a practice that some may find annoying.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ABS is also switchable, so you can opt for greater control. Another feature that might annoy riders is the design of the fuel tank, which doesn’t allow you to grab the tank with your knees. So, it can be a little awkward to stand up on the foot pegs when riding on rough off-road sections.</p>

<p><strong>Value for money</strong><br />
Both bikes are great for people who are looking to upgrade to a big adventure motorcycle. At a starting price of `5 lakh, you really can’t ask for more. You get great features and some decent technology. There is also a USB input placed cleverly on the fuel tank for any device you might want to place on the handlebar. Of course, there aren’t any riding modes or other fancy electronics, but you do get a basic motorcycle that is big and fun. A lot of people will complain about the lack of power, but if you’re looking for an easy rider that looks menacing and is comfortable, capable and features good quality components, then the TRK 502 could be the perfect motorcycle for you. &nbsp;</p>
