<p>BMW registered a growth of over 17% in the first quarter of 2026, selling 4,567 cars overall.&nbsp;While Mini contributed with 213 units, marking a jump of 42% YoY, the two-wheeler division,&nbsp;BMW Motorrad, sold 1,216 motorcycles between January and March 2026. BMW’s aggressive product strategy for India remained one of the strong highlights. Q1 saw four key new launches, such as the BMW M2 CS, BMW X3 30, BMW M 1000 R, and the Mini Cooper S Victory&nbsp;Edition. BMW is set to maintain momentum with eight more launches in Q2. In total, the brand has planned to launch 27 products this year.</p><h2>BMW SUVs, LWBs, and EVs</h2><p>The Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) range was a key contributor to the brand’s success in Q1,  registering a strong 38% year-on-year growth with 2,966 units sold. BMW also confirmed that SUVs accounted&nbsp;for 65% of its total car sales in India. In Q1, BMW sold 2,256 long wheelbase cars, representing a growth of&nbsp;23% compared to last year. EVs accounted for 26% of its total sales. Currently, the company&nbsp;has a market share of over 70% in the luxury EV segment.</p><h2>Mini</h2><p>Mini sold 213 cars in Q1 of this year, which is a 42% increase over last year. It launched models such as the Mini Convertible, Countryman JCW ALL4, and the all-electric Countryman SE ALL4 during the period.</p><h2>BMW Motorrad</h2><p>BMW Motorrad sold 1,216 motorcycles. Entry-level sportbikes like the G 310 RR attracted maximum buyers, while higher-capacity&nbsp;models such as the S 1000 RR and the GS range, including the 900 GS/GSA and 1300 GS/GSA, continued to be popular choices&nbsp;in the premium and adventure touring categories.</p>

<p>BMW Group India will increase prices across its entire model range from 1 April 2026, with a hike of up to 2 per cent on ex-showroom prices. SUVs like the X1, X3, X5 and X7 will also see new prices from April.</p><p>Imported models will also be part of this change. Cars like the M2 Coupe, M4 Competition and XM plug-in hybrid will see similar revisions. BMW’s electric range, including the iX1, i5, i7 and iX, will also get updated price tags. BMW is not alone in raising prices. Earlier, Mercedes-Benz and Audi also announced a price hike of up to 2 per cent, which will come into effect from 1 April.</p><p>

A single panel integrates the reinterpreted kidney grille with LED lighting elements.
