The S 1000 XR is an exceptional motorcycle from BMW that focuses on sports, touring, and adventure all together. The S 1000 XR borrows its styling cues from the S 1000 RR, with a tall windscreen and peak shaped front fender, which give it a touch of off-roader. The S 1000 XR is electronically well equipped, with two riding modes, dynamic traction control, automatic stability control and optional Gear shift assist pro on offer.
The S 1000 XR is a brilliant amalgamation of an off-roader, an adventure bike and a touring machine. In terms of exterior dimensions, the S 1000 XR is 2,183mm long, 940mm wide and 1,408mm high. The BMW S 1000 XR specifications includes a 999cc four cylinder that puts out 159.8bhp and 114Nm of torque. The liquid cooled mill comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks upfront and cast aluminium dual-sided swingarm at the rear.
The BMW S 1000 XR new model gets a pretty decent electronics package, which is inclusive of dynamic traction control, dual channel ABS, automatic stability control (ASC), gear shift assist pro and two riding modes across the range. Electrically, the front gets a halogen type headlamp, while the rear gets an LED taillamp. The instrument cluster is a part digital unit that comprises an analogue tachometer and a digital display for the speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge and all electronics management. The BMW S 1000 XR colours are limited to three – Style HP, Style Triple Black and Racing Red.
