The model, the seventh generation of sportsbikes to carry the Panigale name, especially&nbsp;draws&nbsp;attention due to its&nbsp;updated swingarm and styling, which combines the contemporary aero ethos (which lowers drag by 4 percent), with the aesthetics of the 916 and 1098 V-twins.&nbsp;The new Panigale V4 employs <a href="https://www.autox.com/moto-gp/">MotoGP</a> tech&nbsp;and is similar to the bikes used by WSBK riders. <h2>2025 Ducati Panigale V4: Appearance</h2>

Starting with the front end, a set of&nbsp;streamlined LED headlights have replaced the LED projector headlights.&nbsp;These headlights, which give the new Panigale V4 an aggressive appearance, are partly modelled after those of the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/multistrada-v4/">Ducati Multistrada V4</a>. The windscreen on the new bike looks larger than the one on the one it replaces.&nbsp;Additionally new are the aerodynamic winglets that have evolved into a modern superbike staple. The updated side fairing, which enhances the bike's appearance and performance through aerodynamic designs and improved vents, is visible from the side.

There are several chassis adjustments. The bike features a "Front Frame" with unchanged&nbsp;longitudinal stiffness but lateral stiffness has been reduced by 40%. The single-sided swingarm is also gone from the new Panigale V4, which now has a hollow, symmetrical swingarm. Ducati claims improved mechanical grip and higher stability with this unit, which has 37% less lateral stiffness.&nbsp;The third-gen&nbsp;Ohlins electronic suspension&nbsp;is fitted to the Panigale V4 S. There is a TTX36 monoshock at the back and an NPX-30 pressurised fork up front.

The new Panigale V4&nbsp;also gets updated brake hardware, including Brembo Hypure callipers.&nbsp;These are an improvement over the Brembo Stylema callipers, weighing 30 gm&nbsp;lighter and dissipating heat more effectively. Moreover, there is reduced&nbsp;inertia because the bike is riding on new 17-inch alloy wheels, which weigh&nbsp;2.17 kg less. Pirelli Diablo Supercorse SP-V4 tyres are mounted on the wheels.

The Italian bikemaker has attempted to make the Panigale V4's difficult riding posture better in the latest model. The Panigale V4 2022 World Champion Replica bikes will have only a single-seat configuration. The major difference between the two bikes, aside from colour and graphics, will be that the Bautista bike will have silver wheels and a brushed aluminium tank.

The company has launched three variants of the motorcycles with prices going up to Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the SP2 version.

If the outgoing version of the Panigale V4 wasn't enough of a manic machine, 2022 comes up with updated aerodynamics, ergonomics, engine, chassis and electronics as well. That being said, the overall design of the motorcycle is retained. This means there is the same twin-pod headlight assembly along with a muscular fuel tank, underbelly exhaust, and a single-sided swingarm. However, the winglets on the side of the fairing have become more compact and thinner than before. The company claims that it provides up to 37kg of downforce at 300kmph.

Buyers opting for the SP2 variant can also choose the Winter Test Livery that comes with a matte carbon finish with bright red accents, a billet aluminium steering system with the bike’s name and number, a rider seat with dedicated material and a V4 SP2 logo, and exposed brushed aluminium tank. It also comes with several weight-saving elements including Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, carbon fibre wings, carbon fibre heel guards, carbon fibre front fenders, and STM-EVO SBK nine-disc dry clutch.

At its heart, the motorcycles are powered by a 1,103cc V4-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that puts out &nbsp;212.5bhp at 13,000rpm and 123.6Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm through a six-speed transmission. Electronic rider aids in the motorcycle come in the form of four power modes - Full, High, Medium and Low. Also included are Bosch cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, power launch, bi-directional quick shifter, and auto tyre calibration.

Suspension duties on the motorcycle are managed by 43mm fully-adjustable Showa BPF front forks and a fully-adjustable Sachs mono-shock at the back. The higher S and SP2 variants, meanwhile, get Ohlins-sourced front forks and rear mono-shock – both fully and electronically adjustable. Braking apparatus on the new versions include a twin 330mm front and a single 245mm rotor with a two-piston calliper at the back.

In the Indian market, the motorcycle goes against the top-tier performance offerings including the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/kawasaki/ninja-zx-10r/" target="_blank">Kawasaki ZX-10R</a> and the BMW S1000RR.

2022 Ducati Panigale V4 range launched in India, prices start at Rs 26.49 lakh

The 2022 Ducati Panigale V4 range has finally arrived in India. The company has introduced the V4, V4 S and V4 SP2 variants in the country with prices going up to Rs 40.99 lakh for the top-tier SP2 version.

Ducati will produce the Panigale V4 SP2 in a numbered series.

The Panigale V4 has seen many iterations and upgrades, like the V4 S and V4 R. But now comes its maddest, most track-focused version of all time – the V4 SP2. The V4 SP2 gets upgrades in almost every department, including aerodynamics, powertrain, underpinnings, and electronics, to make it the ultimate track machine.&nbsp;

In terms of look, the V4 SP2 sports the ‘Winter Test’ livery, with matte black paintwork and bright red accents, and white Ducati Corse lettering down the side. The fuel tank now has a new shape, which is finished in exposed brushed aluminium instead of paint.&nbsp;

Visually, the V4 SP2 looks very purposeful,&nbsp;thanks to the massive winglets. And the Desmosedici 1,103cc&nbsp;V4 engine, with its incredible 212.5bhp @ 13,000rpm, should make it go as fast as it looks. Ducati will also sell you a titanium exhaust system, developed in collaboration with Akrapovic, which bumps the power&nbsp; to 225bhp and the torque output to 113Nm, while&nbsp;reducing the weight by 5kgs. For reference, the ‘standard’ V4 SP2’s dry weight is already a featherlight 173kgs.

In addition, there is a lightened final drive with a 520 chain, an STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, an Öhlins NPX25/30 pressurised fork at the front with 125mm of travel, and an Öhlins TTX36 shock absorber at the rear. There is also an Öhlins electronic steering damper and the suspension components are governed by the Smart EC 2.0 system, which uses ‘objectives’ and not clicks to fine-tune the suspension.

The bike has carbon fibre rims on both ends, which make it 1.4kgs lighter than the Panigale V4 S’ aluminium forged units. Handling braking duties at the front are the Brembo Stylema R callipers and Brembo MCS (Multiple Click System) radial pump.&nbsp;

Other highlights of the V4 SP2 include the Rizoma footpegs, made of anodized aluminium, a ‘Track Evo’ display mode, which is inspired by the one on MotoGP bikes, and, of course, a full suite of Ducati’s cutting-edge electronics, which include Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Slide Control, Engine Brake Control, and more.

Ducati Panigale V4 SP2 unveiled

Ducati's final new bike for the 2022 model year is the menacing, brutally fast and track-focused Panigale V4 SP2. It tries its best to bridge the gap between a road-going motorcycle and an SBK racer with its engine, aero, chassis and suspension package.

The flagship supersport from Borgo Panigale arrives with significant ergonomic, aerodynamic and mechanical updates.

In the fifth episode of the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/">Ducati</a> World Première 2022, the Italian marque has pulled the wraps off the 2022 <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/panigale-v4/">Panigale V4</a> and V4 S – an iteration that Ducati claims is the most evolved since the bike's&nbsp;inception. The 2022 Panigale V4, though visually more or less the same as the outgoing model, features improvements across the board, ranging from aerodynamics, ergonomics, electronics, engine and chassis.

The fairing now integrates more compact, thinner double-profile design wings with increased efficiency that offer the same vertical load as before. Also, the lower fairing gets redesigned extraction sockets for improved cooling. On the ergonomic front, the seat of the 2022 Panigale V4 offers a flatter shape and a new coating, to enhance support and facilitate easier movement of the rider's body while manoeuvring.&nbsp;To this end, even the fuel tank's rear portion has been reshaped to provide better anchorage for the rider and the contact area for the arms during hanging off&nbsp;has also been increased. The instrument cluster also offers an improved&nbsp;readout, with a new 'Track Evo' information display mode and a green LED gear change indicator.

Coming to the mechanical updates, the 1,103cc&nbsp;Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine features a new oil pump to reduce power absorption. This, combined with wider silencer outlets (to reduce exhaust backpressure) and new mapping, has led to a marginal&nbsp;increase in the power figure&nbsp;– the 2022 iteration develops 212.5bhp @ 13,000rpm, which is 1.5bhp more than before, and 123.6Nm @ 9,500rpm.

The engine also benefits from a new gearbox with lengthened first, second &amp; sixth gear ratios.&nbsp;This SBK-spec setup, as per Ducati, is more track-oriented. The longer sixth gear now allows for a higher top speed that's gone up by 5km/h.

A new Power Mode bifurcation on the 2022 Panigale V4 now offers four&nbsp;engine configurations: Full, High, Medium &amp;&nbsp;Low.&nbsp;While the Full and Low configurations are newly designed, the High and Medium configurations use an all-new strategy.

The new Panigale V4 S also comes equipped with a new Öhlins NPX 25/30 electronically-controlled pressurised fork that has 125mm of travel (5mm more than the outgoing model). This allows for better damping on rough surfaces. The new fork works in tandem with the Öhlins TTX36 rear shock absorber and an&nbsp;Öhlins steering damper. The standard Panigale V4 though makes do with a 43mm fully-adjustable Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF), a Sachs steering damper and a&nbsp;fully adjustable Sachs monoshock.

For further stabilisation of the bike during acceleration, the pivot of the single-sided aluminium swingarm has been moved 4mm higher than before. This helps increase the anti-squat action, namely the reduction of the lowering of the rear.

2022 Ducati Panigale V4 arrives with plenty of updates

The 2022 Ducati Panigale V4, though visually more or less the same as the outgoing model, features improvements across the board, ranging from aerodynamics, ergonomics, electronics, engine and chassis.

The Ducati Panigale V4 SP has arrived. This track-ready supersport features high-end components and electronics, but all this comes at a premium.

Earlier this year, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/">Ducati</a> India launched the BS6 <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/panigale-v4/">Panigale V4</a> and the V4 S. Now, the Italian motorcycle maker has launched the Panigale V4 SP, which is the top-dog supersport in the Panigale vertical.

The ‘SP’ in the name indicates that this Panigale V4 is the most advanced and track-focused version in the family. The motorcycle comes with top-shelf cycle parts. The engineers have managed to shave around one kilo&nbsp;off its kerb weight. As the Panigale V4 SP is the most exclusive and advanced track-tool from Blogona, it naturally demands a premium price as well.

Here are a few highlights of the new Ducati Panigale V4 SP.

Pricing

The Panigale V4 SP is priced at Rs 36.07 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs 7.67 lakh more expensive than the Panigale V4 S. At this price point, the Panigale V4 SP has only two rivals – the Honda CBR1000RR-R, priced at Rs 32.68 lakh (ex-showroom),&nbsp;BMW Motorrad's <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/bmw/m-1000-rr/">M 1000 RR</a> and M 1000 RR Competition, which are priced at Rs 42 lakh and Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

Styling

The styling of the V4 SP is more or less the same as that of the Panigale V4 and the V4 S. The motorcycle gets the new 'Winter Test' livery, which has been inspired by the pre-season MotoGP and World SBK motorcycles. The livery includes a matte black paint scheme with a brushed aluminium finish on the fuel tank. There are a few red highlights on the upper-fairing, tank, and rear cowl. The Panigale V4 SP also gets an optional open carbon-fibre clutch cover, which gives it a distinguished look.&nbsp;

Cycle parts

The Panigale V4 SP gets electronic fully-adjustable 43mm USD forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, both of which are sourced from Ohlins. Now, these suspension units are identical to the ones on Panigale V4 S. Now, as the V4 SP is lighter by 1kgs, Ducati had to calibrate the suspension units according to the 173kgs of dry weight. The reduction in the kerb weight is also credited to the liberal use of carbon fibre on other body panels.

The Panigale V4 SP also gets forged magnesium wheels, which are also lighter by a kilo than the V4 S’ forged aluminium wheels.

Features

The electronic package includes a six-axis-IMU, which governs ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and slide control. The motorcycle also features multi-levels of engine braking. With the Panigale V4 SP, Ducati also offers a license plate removal plug – it is essentially a tail-tidy kit – and machined mirror block-off plates, which are mainly used for track riding. As mentioned above, there is an optional open carbon fibre clutch cover on offer as well. Ducati has also added a Data Analyzer and GPS module into the mix.

Engine

All Panigale V4 models get the same 1,103cc 90-degree V4 engine. The power output of the V4 SP is identical to that of the new V4 SP – 211bhp at 13,000rpm and 124 Nm at 9,500rpm. The V4 SP's&nbsp;gearbox is a six-speed unit, which features a slipper clutch and a two-way quick-shifter. With uprated parts and less kerb weight, the performance of the Panigale V4 SP is expected to be a notch above its siblings.

Ducati Panigale V4 SP: Key highlights

The more exclusive Ducati Panigale V4 has arrived. The track-ready supersport features top-shelf components and electronics, however, this complete package comes at a premium price.

The Racing Accessories&nbsp;package for the Ducati Panigale V4 offers a new titanium exhaust system, oversized headlight fairing, lower and upper racing fairings, swingarm cover, carbon protection for generator cover, mirror hole covers, and more.

The Ducati Panigale V4 is all that you’ll ever want from a litre-class superbike – well, that’s we think. However, if you own&nbsp;a Panigale V4 and want to spruce it up further, Ducati has launched a special racing accessory package for its top-dog sports bike.

According to Ducati, the racing package offers a range of components that are designed to “ensure maximum performance, lighten the weight and enhance the typically racing look of the Panigale V4.” On offer here is a completely new exhaust system, oversized headlight fairing, lower and upper racing fairings swingarm cover, carbon protection for generator cover, mirror hole covers, license plate holder removal set, frame cover set, carbon chain guard, brake lever protection, brake lever protection adapter, and side stickers for tank.

The race fairing kit, on the other hand, includes a set of headlight fairing and headlight covers, which are made of ‘high-quality unpainted plastic material.’ Then there’s an oversized headlight fairing that is derived from WSBK as well. It is made of high-quality transparent plastic material, and has increased height and length in order to improve&nbsp;aerodynamic efficiency and wind protection.
