Ducati XDiavel Exterior Details

The Ducati XDiavel shares a lot of its look and design with the Diavel. The primary difference comes in ergonomics. The XDiavel is a forward-swept footpeg, comfort posture kind of motorcycle, a lot relaxed compared to the Diavel's mid-set footpegs and a much more aggressive handlebar. The latest variant of the XDiavel gets a new livery and a new stealth paint job for the base variant. The XDiavel features a slightly wider wheelbase compared to its sportier brother, at 1615mm (15mm wider).

Ducati XDiavel Engine & Transmission

The XDiavel for its 2021 BS6 variant comes with updates for the latest emission norms but gets the same drivetrain. The Ducati XDiavel gets a BS6 1262cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Ducati's iconic Desmodromic Variable Valve Timing. It puts down 160PS at 9500rpm and 127Nm at 5000rpm. The BS6 engine puts to the tarmac 8PS of power more than before and 1Nm of torque higher than the XDiavel's outgoing engine. For safety, the bike gets traction control and IMU-enhanced cornering ABS, among other features.

Ducati XDiavel Handling

For handling purposes, the latest Ducati XDiavel gets 50mm USD forks on the front and a preload and rebound adjustable mono-shock on the rear end, on the suspension end of things. The XDiavel's top-end variant, the Black Star, gets a Diamond-Like Coating treatment on the front USDs. For stopping power, the base XDiavel gets Brembo M4.32 radial callipers on the twin 320mm discs upfront. The Black Star variant, however, gets top-end Brembo M50 radial mono-bloc callipers with the twin 320mm disc setup. The rear wheel on both variants uses a 265mm disc with Brembo 2-piston callipers.  

Ducati XDiavel Features

Features slightly vary between the Ducati XDiavel's two variants. Both XDiavels get a full LED light treatment with headlight DRLs and alloy wheels. The XDiavel's Black Star variant gets forged rims over the base variant's alloys, which actually shed 2kgs off the bike. The Black Star gets a suede seat and a black and grey livery with red highlights. The XDiavel Black Star also gets Ducati's Multimedia System as standard. Both bikes get a whole range of electronic rider aids. These include three riding modes and safety features such as traction control and cornering ABS thanks to the Bosch IMU. Both bikes also get launch control and cruise control. To control all these aids and features, both bikes get a TFT display.

Ducati XDiavel Price & Variants 

The Ducati XDiavel gets two variants and colour schemes. The Ducati XDiavel Dark, priced at ₹18 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) and the Ducati Black Star, priced at ₹22.6 lakhs (Ex-Showroom).
