<p>An OBD-compliant version of the&nbsp;Unicorn model has been rolled out by Honda Motorcycle &amp; Scooter India (HMSI) in the country. The bike&nbsp;will only be marketed in one configuration and is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Bajaj Pulsar 150, the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, and the Bajaj Pulsar N150 will compete against the updated iteration&nbsp;of the Honda Unicorn. Apart from this, the bikemaker is providing an exclusive 0-year warranty package that comprises a normal warranty of 3 years and an extended warranty of 7 years that is available as an add-on. For those unaware, the Honda Unicorn was formerly available in Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, and Mat Axis Grey Metallic paint schemes. But now, with the latest update, the&nbsp;manufacturer has introduced a new Pearl Siren Blue colour to the lineup as well.</p>

<h2>2023 Honda Unicorn:&nbsp;Engine and Gearbox</h2>

<p>Speaking of powertrain details of the newly launched 2023 Unicorn, a&nbsp;160cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine powers the bike. As a result, it churns out&nbsp;13.27bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 14.58Nm of peak&nbsp;torque at 5,500rpm. Further, a&nbsp;5-speed gearbox is in use, and it has a kick- and self-starter</p>

<h2>2023 Honda Unicorn: Hardware</h2>

<p>Telescopic forks in the front and a hydraulic monoshock in the rear support the diamond-shaped frame. A 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum are responsible for braking duties. Additionally, a single-channel anti-lock braking system is available. Honda is employing alloy wheels 18 inches in diameter with tubeless tyres. The front one is 80/100 in size, while the back one is 100/90.</p>

2023 Honda Unicorn Launched with OBD 2-Compliance in India at Rs 1.10 Lakh

An OBD-compliant version of the Unicorn model has been rolled out by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) in the country. The bike will only be marketed in one configuration and is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

<p>Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has been gradually updating its product portfolio to meet the upcoming BS-VI emission norms. The two-wheeler giant started with the Activa 125 in September 2019, which was followed by the SP125, Activa 6G and,&nbsp;more recently, the Dio. The company has now launched the 2020 Unicorn but with more than just a BS-VI update.</p>

<p>Allow us a few moments to reflect on the history of the Unicorn name. Ever since its first launch in 2004, it has been one of the most trusted 150cc offerings. Despite its universal acceptance, HMSI pulled the plug on it in 2015 and soon replaced it with the CB Unicorn 160. The move wasn’t received as well, as Honda had hoped, forcing them to bring back the Unicorn 150. With the 160 racking limited numbers on the sales charts, Honda pulled the plug on it some time in mid-2018 and continued just with the 150. The 2020 Unicorn is essentially a replacement of the popular CB Unicorn 150 and the CB Unicorn 160.</p>

<p>The first thing you’d notice about the 2020 Unicorn is that it loses the 'CB' prefix as well as the '150' suffix. Other changes include a 162.7cc heart that has been borrowed from the CB Unicorn 160 and&nbsp;fuel injection. Unlike the predecessor that made 13.82bhp, the Unicorn produces 12.7 horses. Interestingly, this power output is identical to the Unicorn 150. Torque rating stands at 14Nm. Keeping in mind that it weighs 6kg less than the Unicorn 150, expect it to be marginally quicker.</p>

<p>The 13-litre fuel tank, front &amp; rear brakes, and 18-inch wheels are all identical to the Unicorn 150. In fact, Honda has played it safe and continued with the original design of the Unicorn 150. That being said, there is a marginal difference in the dimensions of the Unicorn and the Unicorn 150.</p>

<p>Honda has launched the new Unicorn at Rs 93,593 (ex-showroom Delhi). At this price, it is roughly Rs 1,400 cheaper than its direct rival, the Bajaj Pulsar 150, which is priced at Rs 94,956 (ex-showroom Delhi).</p>
