2023 Honda Unicorn Launched with OBD 2-Compliance in India at Rs 1.10 Lakh

An OBD-compliant version of the Unicorn model has been rolled out by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) in the country. The bike will only be marketed in one configuration and is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

An OBD-compliant version of the Unicorn model has been rolled out by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) in the country. The bike will only be marketed in one configuration and is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Bajaj Pulsar 150, the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, and the Bajaj Pulsar N150 will compete against the updated iteration of the Honda Unicorn. Apart from this, the bikemaker is providing an exclusive 0-year warranty package that comprises a normal warranty of 3 years and an extended warranty of 7 years that is available as an add-on. For those unaware, the Honda Unicorn was formerly available in Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, and Mat Axis Grey Metallic paint schemes. But now, with the latest update, the manufacturer has introduced a new Pearl Siren Blue colour to the lineup as well.

2023 Honda Unicorn: Engine and Gearbox

Speaking of powertrain details of the newly launched 2023 Unicorn, a 160cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine powers the bike. As a result, it churns out 13.27bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 14.58Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. Further, a 5-speed gearbox is in use, and it has a kick- and self-starter

2023 Honda Unicorn: Hardware

Telescopic forks in the front and a hydraulic monoshock in the rear support the diamond-shaped frame. A 240mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum are responsible for braking duties. Additionally, a single-channel anti-lock braking system is available. Honda is employing alloy wheels 18 inches in diameter with tubeless tyres. The front one is 80/100 in size, while the back one is 100/90.
