The 125 Duke is the entry-level offering from KTM in India. The 125 Duke was launched in the year 2019 as an entry-level offering for those who wanted a smaller capacity pocket rocket. The 125 Duke shares its design and styling cues with its bigger siblings, as its headlamp, fairing and digital instrument cluster are exactly identical to the KTM 200 Duke.
The KTM 125 Duke is a small capacity Duke that looks identical to its bigger siblings. In terms of dimensions, the 125 Duke is 1,993mm in length, 789mm in overall width and 1,083mm in overall height. Further, the 125 Duke has a kerb weight of 159kg and a ground clearance of 155mm. The fuel tank has a capacity of 13.5-litres.
Engine & Transmission
The KTM 125 Duke comes powered by a 124.7cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which churns out 14.3bhp of power and 12Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. On the efficiency front, the KTM 125 Duke mileage is rated at 46km/l.
The KTM 125 Duke gets its stopping power from a 300mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the rear, while it gets a 110/70 R17 section tyre at the front and a wider 150/60 R17 section tyre at the back. The bike is based on a split trellis frame, and it rides on triple rate inverted telescopic forks suspension at the front and a double rate monoshock suspension at the back.
The KTM 125 Duke new model was one of the first 125cc motorcycles to offer single-channel ABS as part of the safety equipment. In terms of electricals, the front is dominated by a halogen headlamp while the rear section gets an LED taillamp. The instrument cluster is a fully digital unit, which displays a wealth of information.
