The Access 125 is powered by an air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine with two valve configuration on a single overhead camshaft, injection-based fuel delivery system, and CDi ignition system. It gets mated with an automatic continuously variable transmission system to deliver the driving power to the wheels. The maximum power generation capacity of the scooter is 8.6bhp at 6750 rpm while it can produce a peak torque of 10 Nm at 5500 rpm. These power figures make the vehicle capable of achieving a top speed of 90 km/h. On the fuel efficiency front, the Suzuki Access 125 mileage has been claimed to be 55 km/l.
This newly launched scooter version gets a telescopic front suspension, a swing arm in the rear suspension, and 12-inch alloy/cast wheel in the front and a 10-inch alloy wheel in the rear; both wheels wear 90mm wide tubeless tyres. The braking setup includes a 120mm front disc brake (the base variant gets a drum brake) with a single-piston caliper and a 120mm rear drum brake, along with a combi braking system that connects both the brakes to ensure the application of brake force on both wheels on a single lever press, in order to provide a safer ride. Further, this Suzuki scooter gets a maintenance-free 12V, 4Ah battery to supply the power to the vehicle’s electricals, and a voltage meter keeps you updated on the remaining battery power.
