Suzuki Access 125 Engine and Performance

This Access scooty is powered by an air-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine with two valve configuration on a single overhead camshaft. It has an injection-based fuel delivery system and a CDi ignition system. The engine generates a peak power and torque of 8.6bhp at 6750 rpm and 10 Nm at 5500 rpm, respectively. These deliveries make the vehicle capable of achieving a top speed of 90 km/h.

This Suzuki scooter gets an automatic continuously variable transmission system to deliver the driving power to the wheels. On the suspension front, it boasts a telescopic front suspension and a swing arm in the rear. It touches the ground through a 12-inch alloy/cast wheel in the front and a 10-inch alloy wheel in the rear. Both wheels wear 90mm wide tubeless tyres.

For braking, it gets a 120mm front disc brake (the base variant gets a drum brake) with a single-piston caliper. In the rear, it incorporates a 120mm drum brake, along with a combi braking system (CBS). The CBS connects both brakes, to ensure the application of brake force on both wheels on a single lever press. This technology aids in providing a safer ride.

The Access 125 further boasts a maintenance-free 12V, 4Ah battery to supply the power to the vehicle’s electricals. It also has a voltage meter that keeps you updated on the remaining battery power.

The Suzuki Access is an 1870mm long and 690mm wide vehicle that has a wheelbase of 1265mm. It has a ground clearance of 160mm, an overall height of 1160mm, and a saddle height of 773mm. The kerb weight of the scooter is 103-104 kg and its fuel tank capacity is 5 litres.

The exterior of this scooter flaunts a plain dual-tone front apron with slightly longer turn indicators and a brand logo. In addition, it features a wide headlight with DRLs, a chrome circular rear-view mirror, and a chrome headlamp surround. From the sides, this 125 Suzuki Access exhibits a single-tone retro seat and model branding at fine finish side panels. The side profile also showcases foldable footrests and a chrome exhaust pipe muffler. In the rear, it gets an elevated tail light with flanked turn indicators, a pillion grab rail, and amber reflectors.

This feature-loaded scooter comes equipped with a Bluetooth-enabled digital console that consists of a turn-by-turn navigation system. The console displays over-speeding warnings, ETA updates, phone battery level displays, and call, SMS, and WhatsApp alerts. The digital console also gets an eco-drive illumination, offering better visibility of essential information in even difficult light conditions.

This Suzuki scooter 125 further comes with E20 fuel compatibility which helps in reducing carbon emissions, offering an environment-friendly commute. Moreover, it encompasses a low fuel indicator, a USB socket for mobile charging, and a front rack for storage. It also boasts dual luggage hooks to hang the carry bags, 21.8L under-seat storage, and an external fuel lid. The external lid helps in refueling without the hassle of opening the seat.

This new version of the Access 125 is sold in four variants – Drum, Disc, Special Edition, and Ride Connect Edition.
