The updated Land Rover Defender sports a refined design, upgraded in-car technology, and various customization options – all without straying from its rugged DNA.
Land Rover has launched the 2025 Defender in India at a starting price of Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). The updated SUV brings a host of upgrades, both in terms of performance and luxury.
Every Land Rover Defender restomod is equipped with a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated (NA) V8 unit from JLR which develops 400bhp of maximum power and 515Nm of peak torque.
The price range of the Land Rover Defender SUV has been updated, with the prices now starting at Rs 1.04 crore and reaching up to Rs 1.57 crore. The previous range was Rs 92.70 lakh to Rs 2.85 crore.
Land Rover has also unveiled the Sedona Edition, which is based on the Defender 110. It gets the Defender 130's Sedona Red paint job, as well as Sedona Red accents on the luggage carriers.
The V8 version of the Land Rover Defender 130 draws power from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that churns out 486bhp of maximum power. While the Outbound Edition gets a P400 petrol engine and an Ingenium D300 diesel engine, equipped with mild-hybrid technology.
The Defender 130's price in India has been disclosed by Land Rover. The SUV is offered in two variations, HSE and X, with a starting price of Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom). The Defender 130 is a larger version of the Defender 110.
There will soon be a longer, more spacious Defender which will mostly have a ‘130’ at the end of its name. Don’t expect it to be a great offroader, but it may be good at moving people around.
