Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for over 2,500 units of the Alto K10 due to a potential issue with the steering gearbox assembly.

Maruti Suzuki is offering benefits worth Rs 54,000 for the Alto in December. The hatchback is priced between Rs 3.99 lakh and Rs 5.96 lakh (ex-showroom) in our market.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) stated today that it has successfully sold 45 lakh units of the entry-level Alto hatchback in the domestic market, marking a significant achievement. The company anticipates selling 50 lakh units of the Alto K10 by 2025 and the remaining 10 lakh units by 2028.

A 1.0-litre K-series Dual VVT petrol engine of the Alto K10 churns out 66bhp of power output and 89Nm of peak torque. In the CNG mode, the same engine makes 56bhp at 5,300rpm and 82.1Nm at 3,400rpm.

The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Tour H1 prioritises safety with dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), front seatbelts with pre-tensioner and force limiter, seatbelt reminder for all passengers, a speed limiting system, engine immobiliser, and more.

Discounts on several models from the Arena and Nexa range are being offered at a few Maruti Suzuki dealerships in India. These benefits can be obtained as cash discounts, exchange bonuses, and corporate discounts. The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is available with discounts worth Rs 59,000.
