Maruti Suzuki launched the new Alto K10 in the Indian market in August 2022. The hatchback is the entry-level model from the house of the Indian manufacturer. Prices for the car start at Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 5.96 lakh (ex-showroom). One of the best-selling cars by Maruti Suzuki is available in 4 variants – Standard, LXi, VXi, and VXi Plus with petrol and CNG options. As of now, the popular Alto K10 is seeing a waiting period of six to eight weeks. Note that the waiting period shall vary depending on the variant. The Alto is one of the manufacturer's oldest badges and has been on sale for more than two decades, during which it continued to be one of the most sought-after models due to its practicality and affordability.

Besides, Maruti Suzuki is also offering benefits of up to Rs 59,000 for customers of the Alto K10 hatchback. Valid until July 31, 2023, benefits include a cash discount of Rs 40,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000, and a corporate discount of Rs 4,000. Whereas, the Petrol AMT variants can be had at a cash discount of Rs 20,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000, and a corporate discount of Rs 4,000. Speaking of the CNG version, the Alto K10 attracts a cash discount of Rs 20,000, an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000, and a corporate discount of Rs 4,000.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: Engine and Gearbox
Under the hood, the hatchback gets two powertrain options. When running on a 1.0-litre K-series Dual VVT petrol engine, the Alto K10 churns out 66bhp of power output at 5,500rpm and 89Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm. With CNG, the engine cranks out 56bhp at 5,300rpm and 82.1Nm at 3,400rpm. On offer is a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10: Exterior Details
In terms of design, the Alto K10 gets a massive grille with a honeycomb-patterned design, raised bonnet, halogen headlights with integrated turn signals, a squarish taillamp cluster, and a tweaked bumper. The hatchback sits on 13-inch steel wheels with hubcaps.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is available with a choice of several exterior colour options – Solid White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Speedy Blue, Sizzling Red, Earth Gold, and Pearl Midnight Black.

The Alto K10 features a few modern elements. These include steering-mounted controls, a touchscreen infotainment system, and keyless entry. Other notable features include all power windows, central locking, manual air conditioning, USB ports, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

As of now, the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 has a starting price of Rs 3.99 lakh for the standard version and goes up to Rs 5.96 lakh for the VXi S-CNG. Prices are ex-showroom. At this price point, the hatchback takes on the likes of the Renault Kwid, the Tata Tiago, the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, and others.
