2024 Kawasaki Z6501

A few days back, Kawasaki unveiled the 2024 version of its popular naked street motorcycle, the Z650, for the global markets. As part of the most recent yearly update, the Japanese bike manufacturer has made the model even more appealing by introducing two new colour schemes. To be more precise, prospective customers can bring home the new Z650 in new exciting hues like Metallic Matte Dark Grey and Metallic Spark Black. Except for the inclusion of two fresh paint finishes, all other aspects of the motorcycle remain unchanged. There is also a more eye-catching Candy Persimmon Red with Ebony option for international buyers, however, it is only available for the ABS version of the model. Aside from this, the 2024 Kawasaki Z650 is identical to the one marketed in India. Here's everything you need to know about the Z650's specs, features, and price range.

2024 Kawasaki Z650: Styling and Paint Jobs

The Z650 is regarded to be one of the most well-balanced products in the Kawasaki lineup and is the only middleweight streetfighter offered in its segment. According to the firm, the distinctive "Sugomi" design of the Z650 combines effortless handling, an ideal engine, and chassis performance.

With the striking red alloy wheels and red accents on the fuel tank and headlamp cowl the Candy Permission Red/Ebony colour scheme provides the motorcycle with an extremely vivid appearance. Sporting green stripes on the wheels and tank extensions and a black and grey paint job on the remainder of the bike, the alternative colour option gives the Z650 a notably unique look.

2024 Kawasaki Z650: Mechanical Details

Moving to the mechanical front, the bike continues to draw power from a tried-and-tested, 649cc parallel-twin engine. This unit is capable of generating 67bhp of peak power at 8,000rpm and 64Nm of maximum torque at 6,700rpm. For handling the transmission duties, the engine comes coupled with a six-speed gearbox.

2024 Kawasaki Z650: Features and Hardware

When it comes to the feature suite, the bike continues with the same set of conveniences. These include an all-LED lighting setup comprising a headlamp, taillamp, and turn indicators, dual-channel ABS, a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, a traction control system (TCS), and more.

Telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock are used for suspension since the hardware has also been carried over from the previous version. At the front, there are dual 300mm petal disc brakes, and at the back, there is just one 220mm petal disc brake. As mentioned before, the electronic rider aids incorporate a two-level traction control system as well as dual-channel ABS.

2024 Kawasaki Z650: Price Details and Rivals

The current version of the Kawasaki Z650 is available for purchase in India for Rs 6.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2024 iteration of the bike is now on sale in the United States for a starting price of USD 8,149 (about Rs 6.76 lakh), and it is anticipated to arrive on Indian shores next year.

There are plenty of competitors for the Kawasaki Z650 on international markets, however, there isn't any direct 650cc rival in India. The Interceptor 650 from Royal Enfield is the sole bike that even remotely compares.
