The 2025 BMW S 1000 R has arrived on our shores as a completely built-up unit (CBU), with an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 19.90 lakh.

BMW Motorrad has launched the 2025 S 1000 R in India at an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 19.90 lakh. Bookings for the hyper-naked roadster are now open across all authorized dealerships in the country. The 2025 model maintains its aggressive street presence but now offers sharper performance and more power. It features a reworked 999cc inline-four engine that now produces 170bhp at 11,000rpm, a 5bhp increase from the previous model. The torque stands at 114Nm at 9,250rpm. The 2025 S 1000 R has a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.2 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. Read on for more details.
The 2025 model has an extensive list of standard features. These include a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display (with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation via app), headlight pro with daytime running lights, three riding modes, and a six-axis sensor box that includes ABS Pro and Dynamic Traction Control (DTC).

To help riders make their ride more customisable, BMW Motorrad offers a range of optional equipment packages. The Dynamic Package includes dynamic damping control, Pro riding modes, a Gear Shift Assistant Pro, and an engine spoiler. Meanwhile, the Comfort Package adds keyless ride, cruise control, heated grips, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The M Sport Package offers a motorsport-inspired paint scheme, M Sport seat, lightweight battery, M Endurance chain, sports silencer, and the option of forged or carbon wheels.
The bike's streetfighter style is highlighted by the signature 'Splitface' LED headlight, which features built-in daytime running lights. The bodywork is angular, while the mechanical parts are exposed. Meanwhile, the rear end is streamlined and tidy.

Other notable highlights include the taillight and brake light built into the slim LED turn indicators, a shorter number plate holder, and three colour options.
