Kawasaki has launched the 2025 Z900 in India at a price of Rs 9.52 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a small hike of Rs 14,000 over the previous model. The updated streetfighter retains its trusted 948cc inline-four engine delivering 122bhp and 97.4Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. What’s new is a host of advanced features and refreshed styling, giving the Z900 both performance consistency and a sharper, more modern design. The new updates boost the bike’s commanding presence and strengthen its competitiveness against rivals like the Honda CB650R, Ducati Monster, and others.
The bike sports a more aggressive stance than before. Its redesigned LED headlight delivers a sharp, piercing gaze that enhances the bold front end, while the muscular fuel tank—with smoothly integrated extensions, creates a unified and dynamic profile. Adding to its striking appearance, the sleek taillamp completes the look with a refined, modern touch. Kawasaki offers the Z900 in two striking dual-tone colour schemes—Black with grey/green and Black with red.

The 2025 iteration now packs a cutting-edge six-axis IMU that enables cornering ABS and refined traction control for safer handling in every twist and turn. It also features throttle-by-wire for precise power delivery and cruise control for relaxed highway cruising. The bike features three standard ride modes (Sport, Road, Rain) and a customisable mode, all accessible and adjustable through the new 5-inch TFT display that also provides connectivity.
Kawasaki keeps the same engine and power figures for the 2025 Z900 but enhances its performance through important refinements. A reworked camshaft profile, along with new electronic throttle valves and a revamped ECU, work together to provide smoother throttle response, more consistent power delivery, and improved low-end torque. The engine’s power flows through a six-speed transmission now featuring a bi-directional quick shifter.

The suspension setup features an upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock, both fully adjustable for preload and rebound. Stopping power comes from twin 300mm front discs with four-piston callipers and a 250mm rear disc. The familiar 17-inch wheels remain, now enhanced with new Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres.
