Suzuki is bringing back the GSX-R1000R to the UK and Europe in 2026. Marking 40 years of the GSX-R series, the new model also complies with Euro 5 emission norms, making it ready for sale across European markets from next year. The 999cc inline-four engine has been updated to meet emission rules without losing output. It now delivers 192bhp and 110Nm of torque. Suzuki has made several internal changes to make this possible. These include new injectors, camshafts, valves, pistons, and crankshafts. The valve lift curve has been revised, and the cam chain is wider. The exhaust system has also been changed, with new catalytic converters in place.

Riders will get three colour options for the 2026 GSX-R1000: Pearl Vigor Blue with Pearl Tech White, Candy Daring Red with Pearl Tech White, and Pearl Ignite Yellow with Metallic Mat Stellar Blue. Aerodynamic winglets are also available. The electronics now include a Bosch IMU along with traction control, lift limiter, slope-dependent control, and roll torque control for added support while riding.

The frame stays the same with a twin-spar aluminium layout. The standard GSX-R1000 includes an upside-down front fork and rear monoshock. The GSX-R1000R version takes it further by adding Showa Balance Free Front forks and an adjustable rear monoshock. This setup helps those who spend more time on track.

Both versions come with disc brakes at the front and rear. The braking setup is made to handle the bike’s power. With these updates, Suzuki is not only meeting current regulations but also keeping the GSX-R name going strong. The GSX-R1000 and GSX-R1000R remain steady choices for riders who want performance with updated systems.
