Hero Achiever 150 Launch 500x261

Hero MotoCorp gives the Achiever a breath of fresh air with an all-new powertain that's been developed completely in-house. The Achiever 150 also comes with i3S idle start-stop system.

Only a few weeks ago, Hero MotoCorp launched its first ever indigenously built motorcycle in the shape of the Splendor 110 iSmart. Now, today, Hero has launched another ‘all-new’ motorcycle that is developed and built completely in-house. The brand new product carries the familiar Achiever 150 nameplate but comes with an all-new engine. Prices start at Rs 61,800 for the drum variant and go up to Rs 62,800 for disc version (both ex-showroom, New Delhi).

Coming to the engine specifications of the Achiever 150, it comes powered by an air-cooled 149.1cc single-cylinder carbureted engine that develops 13.4bhp @ 8,000rpm and 12.8Nm @ 5,000rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and is BSIV compliant. Hero claims the motorcycle will do 0-60km/h in 5 seconds.

Like the smaller Hero Splendor iSmart 110, the new Achiever 150 gets Hero’s i3S idle start-stop system and automatic 'headlamp on' feature. In addition to that, the motorcycle comes with maintenance-free battery, tubeless tyres, side-stand indicator, and viscous air-filter.

In its new avatar, the Achiever has also received a few updates on the aesthetics front. The front cowl and headlight are new, while the fuel tank and other body panels have also been redesigned. The tail-lamp has also been reprofiled. The motorcycle also gets a new analogue-digital instrument cluster. The new Achiever 150 is available in three colours – Panther Black Metallic, Candy Blazing Red and Ebony Grey Metallic.

A special edition variant of the new Achiever 150 in a tricolor theme has also been launched. This is to commemorate the company’s 70 million cumulative sales as well as the 70th year of Independence of the country. Only 70 units will be made.
