Auto Expo 2023: Joy e-bike Launched Mihos EV at Rs 1.49 Lakh in India

Auto Expo 2023: Joy e-bike has launched the Mihos EV at a price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The brand has also pulled covers from its electric bike, the Rockefeller at the ongoing Auto Expo Show.

Auto Expo 2023: WardWizard, a producer of electric two-wheelers under the brand "Joy e-bike", has launched the new-gen Mihos EV at a price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). This will be a high-speed electric scooter made of highly durable Poly Dicyclopentadiene (PDCPD) material.  A 74V40Ah Li-Ion battery with Nickel Manganese Cobalt chemistry powers the electric scooter that offers 2.5 kWh capacity. On a single charge, the EV can travel up to 100 kilometres of range and accelerate from 0 to 40km/h in less than 7 seconds. The home-grown EV manufacturer has fitted the bike with a twin-disc brake boasting an electronic braking system that aids to stop the vehicle in the least amount of time. With a height of 750mm and an increased wheelbase of 1,360mm, the seat of the EV appears to be wider and longer. Dimensionally, the electric scooter is 1,864mm long, 700mm broad, and 1,178 in height. It has telescopic suspension at the front with a mono-reversible spring suspension at the rear.

In terms of features, the EV gets the Joy E-connect app, reverse mode, antitheft, and many more features for enhanced usability and safety. It also comes with features like a hydraulic combi-braking system and a side stand sensor (CBS). The electric scooter comes in different colours - glossy yellow, pearl white, black glossy, and metallic blue. Further, it can carry up to two riders at a time. From January 12, bookings for the electric scooter will be accepted at all of the company's 600+ authorized dealerships.

The EV maker has also debuted the Rockefeller Electric Bike at the Auto Expo 2023. The concept motorcycle is expected to enter India by the end of FY24. The Joy e-bike Rockefeller will have a range of 70 kilometres. Hydraulic brakes, vehicle tracking, geo-fencing, remote deactivation, and audio playback are some of the electric bike's features.
