BMW Motorrad has announced new prices for the G310 RR and the C 400 GT in India, following the recent GST changes. The G310 RR is priced at Rs 2.81 lakh, marking a decrease of Rs 24,000 from its earlier price of Rs 3.05 lakh. Meanwhile, the C 400 GT now costs Rs 10.83 lakh, a reduction of Rs 92,000 from its previous price of Rs 11.75 lakh. Both are ex-showroom prices and will come into effect from September 22, 2025 (the same date as the official GST 2.0 implementation).
The new GST 2.0 has introduced significant changes to the taxation of vehicles across segments. For instance, the commuter and mid-sized bikes (up to 350cc) will now attract a lower 18% tax, compared to the previous 28%. Meanwhile, motorcycles with an engine capacity greater than 350cc will now face a hefty tax of 40%, up from the former 31% (28% GST + 3% cess). However, the GST rate for EVs will remain unchanged at 5%.
