For the 2021 model year, the S1000R gets an all-LED headlamp assembly. Most likely the same headlamp unit equipped in the BMW G310R and the F900R. Other than the exterior update, the motorcycle will be the same in terms of powertrain and cycle parts. The engine will be the same in-line four-cylinder 999cc rated for 162bhp and 114Nm. The gearbox is a six-speed unit with an optional two-way quick shifter.

Three riding modes – Rain, Road and Dynamic, and IMU-based cornering ABS and Traction control come standard. Optional equipment includes tyre pressure, adaptive cornering ABS, keyless ride.

The motorcycle will continue to rival the Kawasaki Z900 and the Triumph Street Triple RS. The prices are expected to be around Rs 18.25 lakh, almost Rs 1.5 lakh over the BS4 model.
