Bs6 Hero X Pulse India Launched

The BS6 Hero Xpulse bids goodbye to the carburetted variant and now only comes with fuel injection. As of now only the off-road-focused Xpulse 200 has been given the update

Although the BS6 emission norms came into force a few months back in April, bike makers are still gradually introducing their updated products. A lot of the launches were delayed owing to the lockdown enforced starting 22nd March. India’s highest-selling two-wheeler brand, Hero MotoCorp was also forced to reschedule a few launches. After a long wait, the company finally launched the Xtreme 160R earlier this month, and just over two weeks into the launch, they have now introduced the updated BS6 Xpulse. Unlike the outgoing model, the 2020 Xpulse is only on sale in the fuel-injected trim and is priced at Rs 1.12 lakh. Unlike before, the touring version of the Xpulse hasn’t been launched as yet.

Powering the Xpulse 200 is the same 199cc single-cylinder fuel-injected engine that now produces 17.8bhp and 16.45Nm – a marginal reduction from the outgoing model. The motorcycle continues to be paired with a 5-speed transmission. The bigger change, however, is the introduction of oil-cooling with this updated model. Hero MotoCorp had showcased an oil-cooled Xpulse at the time of its debut in EICMA as well as at the Auto Expo 2018, but the BS4 model only came with air-cooling.

Even this 2020 iteration will continue to be offered with the specially developed rally kit which includes long-travel suspension, adjustable front forks, handlebar raisers, knobby tyres and more. This Rally Kit is priced at Rs 38,000. Even with this BS6 update, the Hero Xpulse is the most affordable adventure motorcycle in the country.
