After a successful event in Delhi NCR, Hero MotoCorp moved the XTracks experience to Chennai last weekend. This unique off-road riding experiences allows all enthusiasts to experience Hero’s latest off-road machine – the XPulse 200 on a specially curated track. The XTracks experience was open for all – interested motorcyclists could register online to be a part of the event. The event was entirely free of charge and the motorcycles too were provided by Hero MotoCorp.

One of the primary reasons why the Impulse lost steam after the initial rush was the lack of awareness about off-roading. With that in mind, the XTracks off-road experience is a good initiative by the brand to give enthusiasts a small taste of the thrill that off-roading is. In fact, such an event also gives potential customers a taste of the motorcycle – after all an on-road test ride within the city won’t quite give you the true taste of what the XPulse 200 is. With Chennai concluded, the XTracks off-road riding experience will now head to Bengaluru, Kochi and Pune. The company has more of these event planned for other cities across the country too.

After a long wait, Hero MotoCorp brought in the XPulse in May. The XPulse is powered by a 199cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that produces 18.1bhp and 17.1Nm. All of this power is sent to the rear wheel using a 5-speed transmission. In line with its off-road nature, the XPulse comes fitted with a 21-inch wheel up front and a 18-inch one at the back. Long travel suspension, engine bash plate, knuckle guard, high-mounted exhaust and 220mm of ground clearance give the XPulse strong off-road credentials. Priced at Rs 97,000 (ex-showroom) for the carburetted version, it is the most affordable off-road machine on sale in India.
