Harley-Davidson commemorates 35 years of its iconic Fat Boy cruiser with a striking new limited-edition model – the Gray Ghost. Inspired by the original 1990 Fat Boy, this anniversary edition blends heritage styling with modern performance, featuring a unique monochromatic paint scheme, heavy chrome detailing, and a bold, low-slung stance. The Gray Ghost pays tribute to one of Harley’s most recognisable and enduring motorcycles, which helped define the brand’s presence in popular culture. With only a limited number set for production, the 2025 Fat Boy Gray Ghost stands as a collector’s piece for enthusiasts and a celebration of a true Harley legend.
As part of the brand’s Icons Motorcycle Collection, the Fat Boy Gray Ghost showcases a distinctive aesthetic brought to life through Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) – a sophisticated metal-coating technique being used by the brand for the first time as the primary surface treatment on a production model. This cutting-edge process offers superior protection against corrosion compared to standard chrome finishes.
Enhancing its vintage character are elements such as subtle yellow accents on the cylinder heads as well as rounded air intakes. It further sports a seat adorned with decorative lacing, leather fringe, and tassels. The signature fuel tank design remains unchanged in form but now bears commemorative medallions inspired by the original winged motif from the early 90s.

The Gray Ghost comes equipped with a host of contemporary features like cruise control and a blend of analogue and digital instrumentation, with a traditional speedometer paired with a multifunction digital readout for key ride information such as fuel level and trip data. Rider ergonomics are refined with an adjustable front brake lever for improved reach and comfort.
On the safety front, the limited edition model offers a comprehensive electronic safety package that includes a tyre pressure monitoring system, anti-lock braking system (ABS), cornering drag-torque slip control, traction control, cornering ABS, and cornering traction control, designed to maintain control and stability through varying road and lean conditions.
The Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Gray Ghost edition runs on a 1,917cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom engine, producing 101bhp of maximum power at 4,800rpm and 165Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm, paired with a six-speed transmission.
Despite being a commemorative model, the motorcycle retains the underpinnings of the standard Fat Boy, including its slotted wheels, telescopic front forks, single disc brakes, and the durable double-cradle steel frame. Its riding posture, overall dimensions, and feature set are expected to remain unchanged. Moreover, there are three riding modes: Rain, Road, and Sport.
