Hero Destini 125 Platinum

A new edition that sits above the standard variants, Hero Motocorp has launched the Destini 125 Platinum. Gets mild cosmetic tweaks but largely remains the same as the standard scooter.

Hero Motocorp has launched the Destini 125 Platinum scooter in India for an ex-showroom cost of Rs 72,050. While the Destini 125 Platinum is dearer to its customers by almost Rs 4,000, it still manages to undercut the pricing when compared to the Destini 125’s 100 Million Edition.

The changes include a new Matte Black Colour scheme which is complemented by Brown inside panels and a Brown seat. The alloy wheels now get white rim tape. The accessories that the Destini 125 comes equipped with are finished in chrome i.e chrome muffler guard, chrome fender stripe and chrome mirrors. A 3D logo of the ‘Platinum’ badge and stamps on the seat have been added for more appeal.

Other than the esthetic tweaks, the scooter is identical to the standard Destini 125 alloy-wheel model. The engine on offer is the same 125cc fuel-injected motor that produces 9bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. For convenience, the Destini 125 gets a fuel filler cap that can be accessed from the rear of the scooter, and a USB charger in the storage compartment. It also includes an i3S (Idle-stop-start) system that claims to improve the fuel-efficiency.

The Hero Destini 125 Platinum rivals the likes of Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, TVS Ntorq 125 and the Yamaha Fascino 125.
