Rising commodity costs and higher input charges have made Hero motorcycles and scooters a little expensive. New higher prices will come into effect from July 1, 2021.

Hero Motocorp India has announced a price hike for all its products. The upward price revision has been done to meet higher input costs and increasing commodity prices. The new prices will be effective from July 1, 2021, and a few models will see a hike of up to Rs 3,000 on their ex-showroom price. A detailed list of price hikes with a model-wise break-up is expected shortly.

The Hero HF Delux is the most affordable two-wheeler in the company’s portfolio, which retails at Rs 49,900 (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is likely to see a price hike, which will make it dearer to its customers by Rs 3,000.

Recently, Yamaha two-wheeler’s India substantially reduced the cost of its 2021 FZ-25, owing to the reduction in the company’s input costs. Hero Motocorp also stated that the company has a cost-saving programme in effect to minimise the impact on its customers.

Hero Motocorp is expected to launch its new Glamour Xtec variant in the Indian market in the coming weeks. Expect the new commuter motorcycle to be feature-loaded and priced at par with some of its key rivals.
