In our automotive industry, Hero MotoCorp has been seeking attention for multifarious factors, including its production contributions to the Harley-Davidson X440, the forthcoming Hero Karizma XMR 210, and most recently, its plans to associate with Zero Motorcycles. Following this, the two-wheeler maker has again drawn market attention to itself with widespread speculation of one of its product's discontinuation in India. The automaker has delisted the Hero Passion Pro model from its lineup on the official website, which has sparked rumors of the discontinuation. It's important to note that Hero MotoCorp hasn't formally announced anything regarding the abandonment of the motorcycle.

Hero Passion Pro: Key Details

Although the Passion Pro has been removed from the site, the Passion Plus and the Passion Xtec, are both still there for purchase. For the uninitiated, the Xtec is a more upscale variation of the Pro and therefore comes with a range of amenities, including a digital instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging connector, an LED headlamp, etc. Coming to the Pro version, it had two versions: Drum and Disc. The last reported beginning price for the Passion Pro was somewhere around Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Powering the Passion Pro was a 113.2cc, single-cylinder engine, producing 9.02bhp and 9.89Nm. The premium Xtec version, which along with the Passion Plus, is currently available on sale, harbours the same engine setup as the Pro, but sports some additional features. On the other hand, The Passion Plus has a 97.2cc, single-cylinder unit that generates 7.91bhp and 8.05Nm.

Hero MotoCorp: Upcoming Launches

The leading two-wheeler manufacturer is all set to introduce the new Karizma XMR in India. The motorcycle is said to mark its return to the firm's range boasting a new appearance, improved engine, and modern technologies. Recently, the automaker took to its social media handles to reveal a new teaser with a tagline that reads  "witness the return of the legend," which suggested the arrival of the new Hero Karizma XMR. The Hero Karizma XMR 210, is said to be on sale in our market from August 29 onwards.

The speculated bike may have the same engine as the X440 but with a distinct state of tune. Exact details on the bike are currently under wraps and may become public sometime soon.
