Hero MotoCorp has started accepting bookings for its new premium maxi-scooter, the Xoom 160, which carries a price tag of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom). First revealed at the Bharat Mobility Expo in early 2025, the scooter features an adventure-style design paired with a 156cc liquid-cooled engine producing roughly 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque. Although the model was announced in January, its launch was delayed, with Hero now confirming that customer deliveries will commence in August. Equipped with features like a smart key, Bluetooth-enabled navigation, LED headlamp, and a fully digital instrument cluster, the Xoom 160 is positioned to make a strong impression in India’s growing premium scooter space.
Hero’s Xoom 160 brings a bold and upright stance to the premium scooter space, boasting an elongated frame and pronounced proportions. A wide central tunnel, housing the fuel tank, adds both utility and visual heft, enhancing its maxi-scooter identity.

Drawing cues from adventure-style bikes, the front section is aggressive, with a dual-LED headlamp setup and a clear visor lending a rugged yet modern aesthetic.
Powering the scooter is a 156cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, calibrated to produce 14.6bhp at 8,000rpm and 13.7Nm at 6,500rpm. Hero’s proprietary i3S (idle stop-start) tech improves efficiency in city traffic while keeping operation smooth and quiet. The scooter has a kerb weight of 141 kg with a full tank.
For ride quality, the Xoom 160 uses a telescopic front fork and dual rear shocks, ensuring comfort across variable road surfaces. Braking comes via disc brakes on both ends, while the 12-inch alloy wheels paired with chunky, dual-purpose tyres give it a sturdy stance.
The scooter is also equipped with a backlit LCD featuring Bluetooth connectivity. Riders can access turn-by-turn directions, call/message notifications, and enjoy the convenience of keyless ignition.
