The Indian Scout Bobber is a sportier avatar of the regular Indian Scout.

The Indian Scout Bobber has been launched in India at Rs. 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). The launch of the motorcycle took place at the 2017 India Bike Week.

Aesthetically, the Scout Bobber is a purposely stripped-down variant of the regular Indian Scout. Over the standard Scout, the Bobber features chopped-off fenders along with different tyres. The Bobber gets a lot of black treatment, like on the headlamp shroud and twin-exhaust pipes. It also sports new uppercase font for the ‘Indian’ branding, versus the signature running hand font that is found on the company’s other motorcycles.

The Indian Scout Bobber is based on the standard Indian Scout which is powered by the Thunder Stroke 111 V-Twin engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This liquid-cooled engine develops 93bhp and 97Nm. Furthermore, the handlebars on the Scout Bobber are different, and the footpegs have been repositioned closer to the rider to allow for a sportier riding stance. The bike also gets shorter travel rear suspension, and has a kerb weight of 255kg (wet).

Priced at Rs. 12.99 lakh, the Indian Scout Bobber will lock horns with the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber, which features an 850cc engine generating 55bhp and 62Nm. The V9 Bobber retails for Rs. 13.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
