Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle with 175km Range Launched at Rs 89,999 in India, Bookings Open

Oben Electric has launched the EZ electric motorcycle, the latest to the Rorr lineup in India. With prices starting at Rs 89,999 (introductory, ex-showroom), the new Oben Rore EZ (reads 'easy') blends 'effortless handling, striking aesthetics, and high-performance technology'. It comes in three battery variants – 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh. The battery is a 'high-performance' LFP (lithium iron phosphate) unit, known for its 50 per cent higher temperature resistance and 2 times longer life. While all battery variants have a top speed of 95 km/h and 0–40km/h timing of 3.3 seconds (claimed), they differ in range. The base EZ 2.6kWh claims a range of 110km, while the 3.4kWh and the 4.4kWh offer 140km and 175km, respectively. All are IDC figures. The 10bhp/52Nm electric motor and three drive modes (Eco, City, and Havoc) remain the same though.

Oben Rorr EZ: Charging

Two charging options are available – standard and fast. With a standard charger, the 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh variants can be charged from 0 to 100 per cent in 4 hours, 5 hours and 7 hours, respectively. The fast charger takes 45 minutes, 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 hours for the 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh variants, respectively, to go from 0 to 80 per cent. 

Oben Rorr EZ: Seat Height, Weight

All three versions offer the same seat height as the Rorr, 810mm. However, their weights vary – 138kg, 143kg, and 148kg for the 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh, respectively. 

Oben Rorr EZ: Chassis, Features

The Rorr EZ uses the company's ARX framework, ensuring 'enhanced stability and effortless manoeuvrability in traffic'. The suspension setup comprises a 37mm telescopic fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels.

Features-wise, the bike offers an LED display with smartphone connectivity, providing information such as ride details and battery status. Safety features include geo-fencing, unified brake assist, driver alert system, and battery theft protection. Five paint finishes are available – Flux Grey, Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White.
