Okinawa, Gurugram based electric scooter maker has crossed the 1 lakh unit sales milestone. The firm confirms that it has been able to achieve this success through its high-speed and low-speed models, mainly the iPraise+ and the Praise Pro electric scooters; which have contributed up to 60-70 per cent of the total sales.
The iPraise+ and Praise Pro are essentially Chinese scooters which are imported to India in kits (CKD) and assembled at Okinawa’s facility.
Okinawa currently has 400 touchpoints across the nation. The firm also plans on investing Rs. 500 crore in the next three years; the half of which will be invested in 2022 itself.
Okinawa recently inaugurated the ‘Okinawa Galaxy’ outlet which is a premium showroom that offers an upmarket experience to Okinawa customers. The first outlet has been opened in Uttarakhand and 50 more are to be established in the coming year.
