Okinawa Praise launch on 19th December

The Praise will be the second Okinawa scooter to be launched in India. Bookings have already commenced at a minimum amount of Rs 2,000

Earlier this year in January, Okinawa introduced their first electric scooter – the Ridge. Now the company is about to add another offering to their product portfolio. The Okinawa Praise will be launched in India on 19th December.

While the company has remained extremely tight lipped about the launch of the Praise, a teaser image they released a few weeks back gave us some insight about the upcoming electric scooter. Firstly, the Praise will be positioned as a premium offering and will sit above the Ridge in their product line-up. With that in mind, it is safe to assume that the Praise will also flaunt a longer list of features.

In terms of design, the Praise has a wider and bolder face than its sibling – in fact, the teaser image almost makes it look like the Honda Dio. The headlight stretches across the front fascia and is underlined by a single strip of LED Daytime Running Lamp. The front panel spreads along the sides where it houses another strip of LEDs and turn indicators. The Okinawa Praise has also been fitted with bar end weights. Okinawa has still not shared the exact specifications of the battery it will come fitted with but they promise that it will have the longest range and the highest speed of all electric scooters. Braking duties will be performed with the help of a disc setup at the front.

With the Praise all set to be positioned above the Ridge, it is also expected to demand a higher price. With the kind of features that the Praise packs expect it to be priced around the Rs 51,000 (ex-showroom) mark. At that price, it will compete against the Hero Electric Photon.
