Ola S1 Pro Gen2 Electric Scooter Deliveries Commence in India, Priced at Rs 1.48 Lakh

Ola Electric, the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in India, has begun the deliveries for the brand-new S1 Pro Gen 2. The new S1 Pro, which is based on the more advanced Gen-2 platform, has undergone a technological makeover in order to improve the riding experience. Over 100 cities have already received S1 Pro Gen 2 deliveries, with more locations to follow soon. The S1 Pro Gen 2 model, which costs Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom), has a number of improvements over the version it replaces such as a longer riding range and enhanced practicality. Apart from the S1 Pro Gen 2, the Bengaluru-based EV maker expanded its model range with the inclusion of the brand-new S1X models.

Ola S1 Pro Gen2 Electric Scooter: Updates

The Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 has updated mechanical and stylistic elements. With a flat floorboard, the space can now be used efficiently to carry everyday objects, which enhances the practicality of the e-scooter. Along with some minor cosmetic changes, a stronger single-piece tubular grab rail has also been added. The e-scooter has a 34-litre bootspace capacity and is 6 kg lighter as a result of the structural improvements. It is available for purchase in five colour schemes: Matt White, Stellar, Midnight Blue, Jet Black, and Amethyst. As mentioned above, the deliveries of the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 have started in 100 Indian cities, and more are yet to be included. It can be reserved online or at any of the authorised Ola Experience Centers located across India.

Ola S1 Pro Gen2 Electric Scooter: Battery Pack and Chassis

The dual telescopic front forks have taken the place of the single-tube front forks, and the chassis also underwent several updates. A new swingarm has been included as well. Carrying an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1.48 lakh, the new Ola S1 Pro is more powerful than the outgoing model's electric motor.  A motor providing 14.7bhp of peak power has taken the place of the previous 11.4bhp motor.

The electric scooter has a top speed of 120km/h and a claimed real-world riding range of 180-kilometre on a single charge. The package also includes a 4kWh battery pack. The Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 can go from 0 to 40km/h in only 2.6 seconds. According to the brand, it takes the battery six and a half hours to recharge from 0 per cent to 100 per cent.

Ola Motorcycle Range

Ola Electric is also developing a range of electric motorcycles and a few of them are anticipated to arrive on the market next year. The electric motorcycle concepts from the automaker comprise the Diamondhead, Adventure, Cruiser, and Roaster models. 

The Ola Cruiser concept motorcycle has flowing lines going across it and a low-slung stance. It has a long fuel tank, an LED tail lamp, an LED headlamp with DRL, a digital instrument console, and other features. A headlamp with an LED strip and a small windscreen are features of the Ola Roadster concept electric bike that make it look perfect for city use. The charger cowling has flowing elements surrounding it, as do the tall clip-ons and extensions for the turn indicators on the Roadster concept.

Due to its upright stance and tall appearance, the Ola Adventure concept electric motorcycle will be perfect for adventure seekers. The concept bike has tall mirrors and light pods with an LED DRL at the front. It appears to have good ground clearance. Moving on, the Diamondhead will be the brand's flagship motorcycle. A horizontal LED strip, a hidden LED headlight pod, and low-slung clip-ons are all included in the concept electric motorcycle's diamond-shaped front fascia.
