Royal Enfield is taking its adventure game higher with the new Himalayan Base Camp, Ladakh Edition, set to take place in Leh from 4 to 6 September 2026. Registrations open on 1 May, and this looks like much more than just another riding event. Royal Enfield is bringing together motorcycling, outdoor adventure, and skill-building in Ladakh, a place that already holds special status among Indian riders.

For riders, Leh hardly needs an introduction. At 11,480 feet, Ladakh has long been one of India’s biggest adventure riding goals, and Royal Enfield clearly understands what that means. With the Himalayan Base Camp, the company is turning this iconic region into a proper base for riders, overlanders, climbers, and outdoor enthusiasts looking to do more than just clock miles.
The Himalayan Base Camp is not only about riding through mountain roads. The event will also feature cycling, kayaking, bouldering, and mountaineering, along with workshops and expert-led sessions. It feels built for people who love adventure in every form, not just those turning up for another group ride.
Naturally, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be central to the whole experience. Powered by the Sherpa 450, Royal Enfield’s first liquid-cooled engine, it produces 40bhp and 40Nm. From highway touring to technical mountain trails, the Himalayan 450 has already become one of India’s most respected adventure tourers, and Ladakh feels like the perfect place for it.

What makes this stand out is Royal Enfield’s bigger vision. Riders today are chasing more than scenic roads. They want proper experiences, new skills, and challenges that go beyond the saddle. The Himalayan Base Camp seems designed around exactly that mindset, bringing together riding, endurance, and outdoor adventure in one of the country’s most iconic landscapes.
If Ladakh, Royal Enfield, and high-altitude riding already speak your language, this is one event that deserves attention.
