The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 and the Classic 650 have recently been spotted performing road trials in Chennai. The most recent spy photos show that both 650cc bikes will turn heads on the road due to their upgraded characteristics. While the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is believed to be comparable to the Interceptor 650, the Classic 650 will most likely take design ideas from the Classic 350. Although Royal Enfield has not made any announcements, several industry sources indicate that the new Scrambler 650 will be called the ‘Interceptor Bear 650’ when sold in this country. In addition, it is anticipated that the Scrambler will sport enhanced hardware, technology, and riding ergonomics than the current 650cc Royal Enfield motorcycles.

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650, Classic 650: Key Highlights

The 650cc premium class, comprising the GT Continental 650 and the Interceptor 650, will include the new Scrambler 650. While official specifications are under wraps, the bike is expected to feature circular headlights, and fashionable spoke wheels that measure 17 inches in the back and 19 inches in the front, providing an aggressive look.

In terms of bodywork, the Interceptor 650 is expected to lead the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650. The bike might come equipped with a circular digital console, similar to the one found on the new Himalayan 450. Features like GPS navigation and Bluetooth connectivity may be offered with this unit. Further, turn signals and all the other illumination on the bike will probably be LED-based.

The Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650 are two more models in the 650cc class that the Royal Enfield Classic 650 will join. It might have an RSU telescopic front fork, a standard instrument cluster, and other amenities, just like the less expensive and equipped Royal Enfield 650cc motorcycles. Furthermore, the Classic 650 is likely to adopt the framework of the Super Meteor 650.

Based on production-ready test mules, the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 will have a retro-inspired appearance. It is also expected to include a twin-peashooter exhaust system. The forthcoming Royal Enfield Classic 650 will most likely come with wire-spoke wheels as standard, with alloy rims and tubeless tyres available as add-ons.

Coming to the heart of the matter, the upcoming bikes will be propelled by the same 648cc parallel-twin motor that is capable of producing a maximum power output of 47bhp and a peak torque of 52Nm. The transmission will be handled by a 6-speed gearbox.

After a thrilling year in 2023, the automaker is expected to make a big in 2024 with a range of motorbikes, in addition to the above-mentioned two 650cc bikes.
