Triumph Motorcycles India recently teased the Trident 660 Special Edition, which made its global debut in March last year. Although the official launch date remains unknown, the new Trident 660 Special Edition is expected to arrive in India soon, likely in limited numbers. Since the bike has already been introduced globally, here’s a complete breakdown of its design and key features to give you a clear picture of what to expect.

The upcoming special edition draws its inspiration from the legendary ‘Slippery Sam,’ Triumph’s most iconic triple, which won five consecutive TT production races from 1971 to 1975. The white, blue, and red paintwork adds to the sporty appeal, while a prominent number 67 graphic on the tank's knee cut-outs honours the bike's racing legacy and blends fluidly with the curve of the seat.

The Trident 660 stands out with Triumph badges on its headlight and taillight, with logo accents seamlessly integrated into the fuel filler cap, handlebar clamp, and instruments. There is also an inset aluminum Trident badge with diamond-machined precision. Other highlights include body-colored fork protectors, five-spoke black cast aluminum wheels, aluminum yokes and heel guards, and tapered aluminum handlebars.

The Special Edition keeps the same proven mechanical setup as the standard version, which includes a 660cc inline-triple engine with 80bhp and 64Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. For suspension, the bike has a 41mm upside-down fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. It features twin 310mm front discs and a single 225mm rear disc.
