2021 Audi A4 Facelift Launcing On 5th January

The 2021 Audi A4 facelift will be the German marque's first of many launches for the year.

Audi India is all set to kickstart 2021 by bringing back one of its best-selling models for the BS6 era. The 2021 A4 facelift's assembly operations had started at Audi's Aurangabad plant in December and shortly afterwards, bookings were thrown open. Now, the German marque has confirmed that the official launch will take place on 5th January.

Though it's been nearly two years since the A4 facelift made its international debut, its India arrival was delayed due to the pandemic. Thus, even after a fairly long wait, potential Audi A4 customers in the country only have a facelift to look forward to and not a new-gen model.

Despite being a facelift though, the 2021 A4 will arrive on our shores with a new & bigger BS6-compliant turbo petrol heart. Replacing the outgoing 1.4-litre TFSI unit will be a 2.0-litre TFSI engine that develops a healthy 188bhp & 320Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre unit will be equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that sends drive to the front wheels only. Once again, there won't be a diesel option available at the time of launch, much like all BS6 Audi models launched so far.

In terms of design changes, the 2021 A4 facelift features the brand's new 'segmented' light signature. At the front, new headlamps feature segmented LED DRLs while the taillamps now resemble a lot to those on the new A6. Other changes include a wider Singleframe grille, an updated front & rear bumper design and the alloy wheels are expected to get a new design too.

Inside too, there are only a few changes. A new 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with Audi's latest MMI system will be the key attraction. Also, the centre console will now get a touchpad that replaces the erstwhile rotary control knob. The top-spec variant is likely to come with some additional goodies as standard, such as the 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster, ambient lighting, all-LED lighting, multi-zone climate control, etc.

Speaking of variants, the 2021 Audi A4 facelift is likely to arrive in two trim options – Premium Plus and Technology.
