2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno bookings open

Ahead of an official launch, some Maruti Suzuki Nexa dealers have commenced the reservation of the upcoming 2022 Baleno. However, the production of the hatchback has commenced already.

A few days ago, a spy picture of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno hatchback rolling off the production line was surfacing the internet. While there is no official word from the carmaker, it is speculated that the launch of the new Baleno will be held post the third week of February 2022. Some of the Nexa dealerships across the nation have also commenced the bookings for the updated hatchback as well. 

While the technical details are scares at the moment, the new Baleno will mostly be based on an all-new platform and the engine is expected to be updated as well. Along with the new mechanical bits, the Baleno will sport updated styling. The fascia will include a new and wider grille design, reprofiled bumpers, and restyled headlamps. The alloy wheel design is expected to be new as well.

The cabin will be updated with a new dashboard design. The infotainment system is expected to boast new features along with Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

The prices of the new Baleno are likely to start from Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It is too soon to confirm if the 2022 Baleno will be offered with a CNG option or not, however, the hatchback being a premium product and retailed via the Nexa outlets, Maruti Suzuki is likely to reserve the 2022 Baleno in the petrol form only.
