Maruti Suzuki is working on a new generation of the Vitara Brezza which is expected to break cover in January 2022. The spy pictures of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza are already doing rounds on the internet. The crossover SUV spied in pictures
That being said, following are a few things we expect from the new generation sub-four-metre crossover SUV:
Platform
The new Vitara Brezza is likely to be underpinned by a new platform. Maruti Suzuki is likely to use a modified version of its already existing HEARTEC platform. The new platform will help the new Vitara Brezza score higher in a crash test.
Engine
The engine is likely to be the same1.5-litre naturally aspirated motor, however, the engine head is likely to be a new dual jet (dual fuel injection per cylinder) unit. This will help the engine improve efficiency and there will be a minimum power loss as well.
Features
The new Vitara Brezza will mostly host more features than the outgoing model. We're expecting the sub-four-metre crossover SUV to host features such as ventilated seats, sunroof, wireless phone charger. The new Vitara Brezza is likely to get car connected features as well.
Pricing
The new platform, reworked engine, more features are likely to hike the price of the new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The outgoing model is priced between Rs. 7.61 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs. 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is likely to ask Rs. 30,000 more across variants. The new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will continue to retial via the firm's Arena outlets.
Rivals
The 2022 Vitara Brezza will continue to rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet and Mahindra Bolero Neo. The prices of the Vitara Brezza are likely to be comparable with the prices B+ segment hatchbacks on sale in India as well.
